We stayed in a Go Room for 2 days. These rooms have been updated and we enjoyed our stay. Bathroom was large with a TV in the mirror, very unique. Room was clean, close to elevators, and had a great view of the strip. The service was very good. The only inconvenience was construction going on around the hotel but it wasn't a big deal, that's progress. « less

This was my first time staying at the Flamingo but I doubt it will be my last. We had a very speedy check-in, a very clean Go Deluxe room, and great customer service the entire time. My only complaint was that there were very few quick dining options. The location of the hotel was great however, so it was easy to walk across to Caesars to get some food. For the price and location I will probably be back. « less

The good: low price, great pool, central location on the strip, quiet room, good beds.
The bad: This older hotel is going through some renovations. Our room was not one of those, and it showed the wear & tear. New MFD flooring in room (not carpet). Functional, but typically hotel rooms have carpet. Bathroom sink drain stopper didn't work so I couldn't soak & rinse out swimsuit after pool. Corner woodwork in our room and hallways on 9th floor shows wear. « less

I was at the Flamingo for a few days/nights at the end of April 2013. I was attending a conference which was being held in the hotel. It was not a very good experience. The casino is a smoking casino and the hotel is old and the smoke is into the ventilation system. Even though I had a non-smoking room, you could still smell the smoke. I am asthmatic and it was problematic to me. The 2nd night at 2am, the smoke detector went off in my room and scared the hell out of me. It continued for about 20 minutes and it was blaring! The mattress slid off the bed and the sheets were not changed daily. In fact, I don't believe the sheets were changed on the day I checked in. There was a mark on the sheet on the first night and it was still the same sheets on the 2nd night. The food was very expensive. It was overall a bad experience and I will never return to that hotel. « less

Check in was a bit of wait. That's fine. The Go room shows a little age. Paint peeling and carpet needs a good wash. Room service carts sitting outside rooms for over a day is a bit odd. Pool is nice but dont expect to sit. All in all a nice room at amother hotel for more money is nice but your not in Vegas to sit in your room. If your not looking for bells and whistles this will work for you. « less
