The rug in front of the vanity was so wet that putting 5 bath towels down to soak up the water was totally ineffective and you had to wear shoes when you went near that area to use the bathroom. In addition the ground fault interrupter for the plug next to the sink was broken and you could not use it to charge anything or to use the hair dryer. Very disappointed. « less

It seems that to people traveling through and just spending the night, we are subjected to the highest room rate I have ever paid for a Super 8 or any other place we have stayed for so little. The room was to have been redone, but the toilet was not bolted to the floor, the wall switch was not all the way screwed into the wall in the bathroom, the tv screen was smeared an had to be wiped off to view it, the phone was not turned on so we could call the desk, the wind was so cold we could not stand to walk outside to the office, the soap bars were slivers so small that I could hardly use them, and the shampoo portions were so small there was hardly enough to use. We were too tired to go to the next town. It seems there was a monthly flea market in town. We paid $159.00 plus a little over 20.00 tax. Now, I know there are upcharges for special events, but don't you think you should set a maximum for your type of motel? Who would expect to pay this much for a Super 8? I've paid less for Hilton Hotels!! Yes, we were not happy with the room at that price. We usually stay at Super 8 or Days Inn motels on trips, but that may change. « less

I have been staying at the Canton, Texas Super 8 once or twice a year since it opened. The staff is always friendly. The rooms have been done over and although the furnishings were clean and the room tidy, the overall appearance of the room was terrible. The paint job was of poor quality. Paint had been dripped all over the bathroom floor and not cleaned up. It looked dirty. Also, the light fixture above the sink requires 8 light bulbs. There were only 3 in the fixture, 2 small bulbs and 1 larger. Not only was there not enough light at the vanity, leaving the other sockets empty was a hazard. Also, there was only a parital roll of toilet paper in the bathroom and not an extra roll. I have always liked staying at the Canton Super 8 but this trip was very disappointing. It seems to me that management is not taking as much pride in the hotel as they once did. « less

The room was average for an older motel. Needed to be cleaned a little better but overall it was good. The beds and pillows were comfortable. The prices are always way too too high for those weekends but it's that way every where around Canton Flea Market weekend. The bathroom needed some repair where the shelves were moved or came out of the wall. It had open holes that needed to be patched and the bathroom needed to be cleaned better. It also didn't have a light cover on the celling. « less

Testimonials: Why use Hotel Planner?
"This is a wonderful tool for securing group hotel reservations! I will certainly use you again when we begin to plan our next group outing." T.J. - Greenview, SC
"The bid feature of the website is cool. Instead of the buyer committing blindly to the seller, the seller has to accept the buyer's terms and provide a price. We love it." J.K. - Lansing, MI
