Staff was very friendly and accomodating. Wifi worked great. Our room was very clean and comfortably furnished. Plenty of towels, etc in the bathroom. The bed was extremely comfortable. Did not hear any noise during our stay which is nice for a relaxing time. The parking lot did need some attention as it had many large potholes. Staff was helpful when asking directions to attractions. « less

Fairfield Inn aren't ever luxurious, but this one is neat, clean, up-to-date, and the staff is excellent! Just wonderful folks, eager to help. I stopped on a business trip (driving) with no reservations, and they staff could not have been better. Oh, and I had just driven 650 miles and the sleep weas great! « less

We stayed at the Fairfield Inn & Suites, Independence, MO (Kansas City) for 3 nights October 2012. The hotel is clean, rooms well appointed, bed comfortable and home-like atmosphere; staff are very helpful and friendly. Elaine the manager is top-notch and cares about the hotel guests. We value her professional abilities as she went above and beyond to make our stay a memorable experience, helpful in numerous ways. The hotel is close to the mall, good restuarants and anything else your might need/desire. We will stay there again when we are on another cross country trip. « less

We have stayed at this hotel close to 10 previous occasions and this was one of the better visits. The reason we stay here is because of the value relative to other hotels in the area. The “Average” rating for my review has no negative connotations: this hotel has an average breakfast; an average pool; etc; and generally a very average price. They do not have a fitness room but one is available across the parking lot (200 ft) at the Residence Inn just north of the Fairfield. For many sporting events (swimming, soccer, etc) this hotel is in a great location which is why it is often packed with youth sports teams (during previous visits a sheet of “rules” relating to curfew/etc have been handed out at check-in). In the past, the inability of parents or chaperones to control their kids has been an incredible disappointment, but that was not the case this time as the hotel was largely empty. A large mall is nearby, as well as a variety of average chain restaurants. The staff at the Fairfield, however, is not average, as they are very helpful and very pleasant. « less
