We only stayed for one night, on the first floor, but found this motel to be outstanding, in every category. The rooms were large, clean, quiet and had a nice-sized fridge and microwave. The rooms were quiet, because they are located behind the building where you check in, which blocks any traffic noise. The beds and pillows were extremely comfortable, The bathroom was also clean, spacious and well-maintained and water pressure was great. The hot breakfast was excellent, and had the added perk of strawberry-flavored waffles, in addition to the eggs and sausage. The staff was very friendly and helpful. There is a nice exercise room and hot tub, with a chairlift for handicapped persons. You couldn't ask for more, in a motel. We're just passing through, on vacation, but would stay here again, without hesitation. We got a lower rate by making a reservation, in advance. I highly recommend this hotel. « less

This motel was another one we stayed in before moving to Florence. Nothing really stands out as wonderful or awful. It was clean 'enough', quiet 'enough' and friendly 'enough'. These are my 3 toughest standards in a motel. I don't go to a motel to party. I want it quiet. I also do not want to share the grime of the person who stayed before me. Last, I want a helpful staff that does not smother me. These things were basically met, but not outstanding. Right on Hwy 101 so some road noise. « less

I ended up having to switch to Comfort Inn, after a loss of water where I was originally staying. I paid $120 a night for a king room, which I thought was overpriced compared to the place I had just left. My room would have been fine, except that it has been recently renovated, and the cleaning detail left much to be desired. There was plaster dust in many places, and gooey (dried) handprints from wallpaper glue on all faucets...the staff was great about it, and they let me spray off my truck in the parking lot the day Ileft (I had been on the dunes for 3 days).
The breakfast was just ok, I have had better, and worse.

As you noted, we are in the process of renovating our rooms and unfortunately the contractors did not do a good job in cleaning up the room when they were finished. I will personally talk with the contractors and see that they clean the rooms as required. Thank you for bringing this to my attention and we apologize that your room was not up the standards we expect for our guests.
