We checked in for one night but we're about to stay for one more, because this is the best accommodation we had so far on our road trip. There are 2 pools and a jacuzzi with refreshing drink and music, a guest laundry, free wifi, bicycles for free and every room has its own cosy balcony as well as a safe. The rates are fair, however breakfast is not included. The hotel is a bit outside of town, but that's why it is so quiet. We really enjoy our stay here. « less

I liked this place. We checked in on a Friday and were allowed to check in earlier than the 3 p.m. check in time. The employees were very friendly and accommodating. Lobby and breakfast/snack area was very nice.
My room was what I expected and was still a work in progress. I saw the hotel featured on Hotel Impossible a couple of months ago. The furnishings had been replaced (new chairs, tables, TV, lamps, fridge, etc. My bed was very comfortable as were the pillows. My room was very clean and stocked with coffee, shampoo, conditioner, lotion, and two kinds of soaps. Towels were thick and they provided an ample amount. The carpet and drapes had not been replaced and that is needed. The paint job in the room was certainly not done by a professional but the colors were trendy and blended well. We also received free breakfast coupons but didn't use them. Another bonus was the ground floor rooms have two exterior doors. One is an entrance and the other one is to a small patio with a partition between the next room. It has 2 chairs and a table. I liked that touch a lot.
The main pool area has an 8 foot deep end which is unusual today. They also had a large jacuzzi. The pool had floats and the pool furniture was not cheap plastic junk and also consisted of canopy beds and sofas. The area was very well kept with ice cold water and lemon slices, a nice touch. Pool is also open until 10 p.m. There is a smaller second pool in another section of the hotel. I really liked the pool area because of the water temperature, pool depth, cleanliness, and furnishings. Beach sized towels are available at the front desk. I also noticed several ice machines throughout the property and one in the main pool area.
They also have complimentary bikes for you to use which was fun to take a ride or pedal to a restaurant rather than drive or walk. Make sure you take the lock if you're going to park it off property. Two hour limit but after you return, you can take them again if they're available.
This is not a deluxe property but is very comfortable, clean, has some quick fixes that were done on a budget, is in a very convenient and central location. It was worth the money and as stated before, it's still being improved. We made reservations for another trip in a couple of months.
TIP: Check out Kayak's booking engine and your price will vary considerably depending upon which company you book with. Prices for the same room varied as much as $60 difference per night on a weekend rate. « less

I used to stay next door at the Caliente tropics hotel and that was a good deal. But with this being newly remodeled and under new management for the same price, this far surpasses Caliente. Nice Staff, Young hip crowd and great competitive rates. I highly recommend this if you're on a budget and want to avoid dive hotels. « less

My best friend and I just spent the weekend at The Curve hotel and it was great! The hotel (appropriately titled due to it's location on a cul-de-sac of sorts) Is in a great location and we were constantly surprised by how close all of the destinations we wanted to visit were- Viceroy, The Parker, Downtown Palm Springs, The best restaurants and salons- all within 2-5 miles every time we popped them in the GPS. When our AC wasn't as cold as we liked the problem was fixed within 30 minutes. The pool area and cabanas were great for lounging and the spa water available there was a nice touch. The beds were comfortable, the room clean (and yes, the shower small), and it proved to be everything we needed in a base camp for all of our day and night adventures. There is a complimentary breakfast buffet but we did not try it because of the great surrounding restaurants. The staff was accommodating and we wanted for nothing. Some tips- I would choose a 'pool view' room. It doesn't sound as nice as a mountain view but the proximity to the pool makes up for that. Cabs took almost 20 minutes to arrive after the front desk called so leave extra time if you have reservations. No workout room means you need to bring your running shoes and no elevators for the 2nd floor...but I still thought it was worth it! « less

We stayed here last year when it was a Travel lodge, after leaving a slum hotel down the street. It was great then, and I am looking forward to returning to see what "The Curve" has to offer. We come to palm Springs every year to do a relaxing vacation, we hit Knotts Soak City and plan to bike down the road for food, shopping, and our annual stop at the ever popular Forever Marilyn Statue.
