This suite was a little smaller than the last Fairfield Inn we stayed at, but still suited our needs. The pool was great, but the hot tub was down for repairs. My only real complaint was the very uncomfortable pillows. They were more like the pillows you would find on a sofa. Breakfast was complimentary and they had a good variety of choices. « less

Glad I did. First, this is a typical Fairfield Inn, meaning if you were expecting a full service Marriott, then you will be quite disappointed. With that out of the way, here is my opinion.
I am a gold member, so upon arrive I was immediately upgraded. This isn't the "full service" upgrades where somehow I was given an ocean view room (not much to see out the window in Youngstown lol.....snow) but it did get me to a room with microwave and a fridge. Nice to have, and I appreciated it. The room was clean, and everything worked as expected.
The staff was my favorite part of the stay though. Everyone I encountered said hello politely and seemed as if they really meant it. the front desk staff was extremely helpful with local mapsrecommendationsations for great local places to eat. There is an Italian restaurant about 3 miles away which was fantastic! (started with an "A" but cant seem to remember the name). After speaking to me, thegreetedreated me by name the rest of my stay. A nice show of professionalism and memory too! I can't say enough about the staff here. Thank you!
My only complaint, and I was aware of it before arriving is that there is not a fitness center. Most Fairfields don't have one and I think this is a real oversight on Marriotts part. The indoor pool and hot tub were nice, and the area around them was well kept and clean. « less

Spent a night at this hotel on a trip along I-80 - the hotel is about 10 minutes from the exit off I-80. Room 107 was clean and comfortable as I have come to expect with this chain. Furnishings look to have been updated within the past year. The common areas of the hotel were well kept and the front desk service was friendly and efficient - they were very nice to my 2year old, giving her a puzzle, coloring book and crayons, and a bath squirter. Breakfast buffet was simple, but sufficient - the normal selection of cereal, fruit, yogurt, & microwave items. All in all, a good place to stay in the Youngstown/Warren area. « less

This staff was amazing. They never seemed to stop smiling, and we never heard a "No" to any request. The hotel is also well-run, the rooms were of course clean and in good shape. Good shower. Plenty quiet even though it is next to a Home Depot ans shopping center and busy road (buffer of trees and a pond helped). Breakfast was also decent for self-serve, there was an actual waffle iron and breakfast sandwiches. Our room did not have a frig but the cleaning lady told us they would be upgrading and putting a frig in every room. The only reason I did not give five stars is that the price was more than I would expect for this town, but maybe it was higher during Italian Festival weekend. Despite this I would stay there again just because of the great staff. « less
