"Hospitable clerks and well-kept interior rooms"
Overall Score4.0/ 5
I took a group of 18 high school students and three chaperones on a trip to Nashville and chose LaQuinta because of its convenient location near our destinations and because of its reasonable price. I was very pleased. The person at the desk (who seemed to be perhaps a manager) was extremely accommodating as she helped to rearrange and cluster the rooms so that chaperones were nearby students and genders were separated. The rooms were comfortably furnished with padded mattress pads and comforters. One of nine rooms had a shower that didn't work well, but we were able to solve that. Breakfast was a standard cold bar (bagels, cereal, yogurt, fruit, etc) and a waffle machine. It was amply stocked for our large group. All in all I found the experience very nice for the $69/per room internet cost. The one disadvantage was that rooms opened onto sidewalks instead of a hall, and that brought less peace of mind for supervising students, but that was my own fault in not being more observant of the hotel style when I booked. Sounds also carried easily from sidewalks into rooms so outside voices are quite audible.
