Accommodation packages can be priced per person (shared dorms, partial occupancy of hostel) and/or occupy whole of hostel (max 50 persons.Located less than 4km north of Canberra City Centre (six minutes drive) Dickson Backpackers is located in a busy restaurant precinct, in Canberra's chinatown, Woolley Street, and a short(5 minute) stroll to the Dickson Shopping Centre, located at the other end of Woolley Street. Dickson Shopping Centre also features an outdoor swimming centre (open September through to end of March), speciality shops, supermarket and, banks,post office, medical and professional centre and access to very easy public transport. Between Dickson Backpackers and Dickson Centre, you'll find a wealth of restaurants, three gyms, three pubs/bars and the Tradies, with cheap meals all day from 6 am until 4 am, bars, pool room, a variety of entertainment including the chance to have a flutter on the pokies (slots) for the gamblers. Also within easy reach of ANU, University of Canberra and ADFA, shopping malls, major tourist attractions (Parliament House, War Memorial, Australian National Gallery, all the sporting and celebratory events hosted annually in Australia's national capital, including Summernats, Floriade, Foreshore, Groovin the Moo and the Multicultural Festival.
