Stayed here for one night. The hotel was lovely maybe a bit dated but that is easily fixable. the receptionist was friendly and we were given all the information. After we checked in to our room, a lady came with a tray of bottled water and a basket of fruit which was a lovely touch. The room was very clean but my only complaint was the mattress was a bit hard. We both woke with aches in our back. ( we only in our 20s) also the water pressure in the shower is very weak. leisure centre really is brilliant, couldn't fault it. The location is very good. Very quiet yet close to the town. One member of staff that really impressed me and sticks out in my mind was the dark haired boy who was working the breakfast room, meeting the guests as they came in and clearing up(he was on his own too)He was the most welcoming person in the hotel. Such a friendly and professional manner so well done to him. We didn't eat on the hotel as we went into town. Overall was good value for money.. We will definatley be recommending the hotel to friends with young kids as there is so much for kids. « less

This is going to be a short review as to be honest I couldn't find a fault with this hotel. Food was excellent and really reasonable. Choice of food seemed to change everyday too which is great as its nice sampling the different options. We stayed in one of the apartments directly beside the hotel. The apartment was v comfortable and the kids had a bit of room to move around. Basically this hotel has got it figured out and I really must pay complement to the staff and management for the excellent service we received. « less

You get a complimentary visit to the Jungle Gym for each child - an indoor soft play area which my daughter LOVED. It is fully supervised and you can leave your child there while you go off for a coffee. They take your phone number to ring you if child wants to leave early. The pool is perfect for kids too with 2 bubble areas so they can feel like they are in their own jacuzzi. Unlimited access to a lovely outside play area - safely fenced in perfect, for small kids. All hotel staff were so friendly and kind to kids esp the lady who works the Coffee Dock. There was even a free kiddies disco in the bar the night we stayed. My older girl loved the teen zone (even tho' you have to pay for the games). The rooms and breakfast were good value for the price and the fridge in room was v handy. Dinner was ok. Clonakilty and surrounding area is lovely. We will be back! « less

Had mid week break with husband and toddler in one of the adjoining lodges. Great pool and quite family friendly in general. Had the misfortune of ants in the lodge in kitchen and bathroom and when we mentioned it at reception they didn't seem to care less. Concidering it was only March this does not bode well for Summer months. All other staff throughout were lovely....but reception certainly could do with some hospitality re-skilling. « less

Thank you for your comments. I can only apologise for the issues you highlighted and assure you that this was an isolated incident. If we were aware of this problem before you checked out, we would have arranged to move you to an alternative apartment. The apartments are regularly sprayed for all pest control and since your stay, they have been sprayed again, therefore we are condident that this will not be an issue in the future. Our staff are our most important assest and as you can see from other reviews are regularly commended and we are very appreciative for all feedback received.

Stayed here for a weekend and had a ball. It was such an easy break as the staff are outstanding and the hotel caters to almost anything. The pool and kids play areas are great and safe so parents can sit back and watch over kids with ease. Great space again ideal for guests with children. The food was very good value for money and the rooms are well equiped they have dvd player and mini fridge - features valued by parents of young children. The location is great just approx 8 min walk to the town with a park en-route and Inchydonney beach is only a ten minute drive. Will definitely return. « less

"Thanks Kevin! Your site was a huge success for me and I will definitely use it again. We ended up booking a total of 44 rooms, with different checking-in check-out days, times, people, etc., and Steve has been awesome to work with. Also, Steve is making special arrangements for an "after hours" tradition.I need to make group reservations at least twice a year and I now have a website that makes that a whole lot easier!" "I'm very impressed with your service. My choir travels often and we book trips for other churches. Not only will I refer you, but I will always use your service." M.K. - Branson, MO
