We really enjoyed staying at this Best Western, even though this chain is not normally our first choice. The staff is friendly. The rooms are older, but clean enough. What we really enjoyed was the green space and pool. We stayed right next to the pool and spent a lot of time outdoors in the grassy areas out back that are quaintly decorated with adirondack chairs, gazebo and concrete statues, etc. Also, were nice and close to downtown, just a short drive or walk. Breakfast was in a huge room and lots of choices. « less

This is an older building with a small bath area and no counter. That said, our king room was clean and comfortable. It had a recliner and a very comfortable mattress. Our room looked recently painted and the furniture was fine. Even though this hotel is on a main two lane road, it was quiet during the night. Breakfast had a large selection with plenty of seating. « less

This review compares this Inn with others of similar price and character. The Inn is a bit older but has been renovated. The price for a room is very reasonable and the pet fee is only $15. The management is polite and knowledgeable. What is really nice is the fact that it has nice grounds. Moreover, instead of a cramped breakfast space, the Inn has a large room used for meetings and breakfasts. Food is typical squat and gobble...you know, foamy "eggs" but you can get waffles, fruit, cereal, juice, etc.
The room was clean with new carpeting, paint, etc and the bath was clean as well. There is a large school ground across the street that is used as a park by the locals in the evening...a great place to walk the dog or watch a baseball game.
Not too far from Talbot's Tavern and the Old Kentucky Home. A great location « less
