We didn't pay for these rooms they where pre paid and YES we did complain, After going to them we asked our agent to re book us, I could not understand why every one of the rooms we went to smelled of dirty animals and or Cat Pee. Half of the rooms windows where being repaired and boarded over windows. « less

We stay at hotels in St. Augustine every 2-3 months to visit family and the Alhambra Inn is by far the WORST hotel we have EVER stayed at!!! What you see online is NOT what you get.... NO cribs, NO microwave, extremely outdated (hairdryer, tv, fridge, iron, bath), DISGUSTING filthy rooms that smell AWFUL, extremely dirty carpets, electrical outlet covers are missing, HORRIBLE customer service by management, NO internet in rooms, NO parking (unless you want to squeeze in the spot with the huge oak tree in it), and housekeeping does NOT come clean your room while you are out.The day and night managers do NOT care if you are unhappy, they simply tell you that you can LEAVE and that the Days Inn and Best Western have availabilities. AND they will still charge you in FULL for the next night if you choose to leave. We were told there is NO ONE above the managers that we can speak to. The is NO customer service or complaint line or email address to complain to. So STAY AT YOUR OWN RISK!!! « less

Booked the room through Priceline because the pics sold me especially the pool. I had four children with me. The moment I walked in the room the disinfectant spray and mildew smell hit me in the face. The room was dark and dingy. All I was thinking about was I rather sleep in my car. There was no way I was sleeping on that bed! I was also told that the pool was across the street but was closed due to needed repairs. That was it! After being on the phone for nearly an hour a booking rep finally canceled my reservation and I booked me with the Comfort Inn which was cheaper and credited me $25 for my troubles. Horrible! Don't be fooled by the pics! I wouldn't let my dog spend the night in their rooms. « less

The hotel is clean they take pets its an older girl and they do not have alot of room on the premises to walk pets but its not far they are not a 5 star hotel but a comfortable place if are looking for the hilton its not but its clean we stay there often and have never seen a bug.But we live in florida . and to the person with the roach on her pillow she may have brought it in herself.we prefer too stay farther away then right in the downtown area colledge kids are always making lots of noise we like to have fun as well but do enjoy the quiet when we call it a night. we love st augustine on holloween and feel very relaxed after our heelers have had their run at the beach that we can go and have a good time without worrying about our girls back at the room the prices for the girls very reasonable and clean we like the hotel 2 paws up « less

it was the most disgusting hotel I've ever been to and I did not have high expectation! We walked into our room and there was a roach crawling on the pillow. Out of all places. We went to the front desk and they offered us a jacuzzi suite. We went there and the tub was cracked, the ceiling was stained and had holes, the head of the bed had brown stains and so did the comforter. Super dated and gross. We left and went to the fairview inn Marriott- beautiful, super clean and guess what? Only 10$ more!! Don't go to alhambra « less
