The people who run this hotel are extremely nice. I would give this place rave reviews except for one very large problem and one (well, really two) small problems.
The large problem: They are advertising one rate then charging your credit card a higher rate. Isn't that illegal?!
During the process of booking 4 nights from their web site, I entered my credit card information and the transaction was approved, but at a higher rate than had just been displayed on the screen! I even have a captured screen shot to prove it!
I immediately called Super 8's home office customer support and offered to email them the screen shot with the quoted price, but was told that I'd have to go ahead and pay the incorrect higher price first, then have them "let their IT Department look at it" and then they "might" be able to mail me a check for the difference.
I went ahead and paid (OVER paid) because I didn't have time to search for another hotel. A supervisor finally called almost a week later and said to send a receipt and they'd mail me a check for the difference.
Why should I have to be LIED TO about the price, PAY IT, then wait WEEKS for a check when I had all the evidence (the screen shot) right there ready to email them?
UNBELIEVABLY POOR SERVICE AT THE CORPORATE CUSTOMER SERVICE LEVEL.
However, the actual owner/operators of the hotel were so nice it almost made up for the overcharging fiasco and the fact that there was no Kleenex or Conditioner available (they were "out") during the entire 4 day stay. « less

We were here only overnight and thought it was an OK stay. The lady at the front desk was polite but not what I would term friendly so we did not share our view of the room with her. The room was a good size with storage for clothes, a decent size bathroom and a nice lounge area. The only problem with the room was the strange smell it had - dead socks. Each time you entered the room the smell would hit you but being in there for a while you stopped noticing it. The location was good in that it was easy and not far from the downtown area.
