We stayed in this hotel as close to VA and Outback was connected to hotel. It is close to Mpls., Airport with free shuttles to and from and also to Mall of America. I don't think I would use this hotel for an extended stay as older and could use remodeling and updating. Breakfast was ok but typical of the ones at most hotels. The mattresses should be updated as not that comfortable. But for an inexpensive place for one night it's a bargain. « less

We had a 17 hour layover in Minneapolis enroute to Amsterdam, and the Comfort Inn manager accommodated us for a "day room" after our red-eye flight. Shuttles run to the nearby airport and to the nearby Mall of the Americas, with connections at the mall for the downtown tram. The location, therefore, makes this a great place if you are visiting the mall or using the airport. The property itself is average, with minimal elevator service for the number of rooms, and an overall "tired" feeling. We felt that the breakfast was "average", and really didn't use any other hotel amenities during our brief stopover. « less

This hotel, while a bit "aged" has a very nice breakfast, excellent staff and nice sized rooms. The decor is nice but not very fancy and I suspect that some better lighting in the hallways would improve the overall looks. If you like swimming, the pool is nice. Location and a reasonable price are the key factors here. The Mall of America is just a few minutes away and there are a lot of places to eat. In addition, there is a lot more shopping all around the area if the Mall does not have what you want.
If you need to go downtown, the Hiawatha line light rail train is 5 minutes from the hotel by car and it runs frequently and fairly fast. In addition, you can buy a 6 hour ticket and get off and on as many times as you want. All in all, a comfortable place that I have stayed at before and won't hesitate to stay at again. « less
