No visit to Mykonos would be complete without even a short visit to Super Paradise Beach. We were there in the off season and relatively early in the morning as well, so we had the beach just about all to ourselves. Not that we had come to do any nude sunbathing mind you. We just wanted to see the place for ourselves and I must admit we were quite taken with it.
The best way to get to Super Paradise, I'm told is by ferry and even though I didn't do that, I would be inclined to agree because to drive there means a very very steep hill which is winding and very narrow, Only the most experienced drivers would not find it difficult driving on this road. I don't know what we would have done if another car had come in the opposite direction. Thank God, I wasn't driving because I had to keep my eyes shut tight all the way down and up. My friend seemed to take it all in his stride and didn't see what I was making such a fuss about, but then he's got nerves of steel when he's driving which is something I don't.
Once there, it is quite a delightful beach and the bar/restaurant/boutique and amenities area are most attractive. I believe that although this is usually known as a gay beach, it is well frequented by all persuasions these days.
