Busy weekend in Austin, and the only place the family member reserving rooms said they could find was this hotel. It was under renovation, noisy, and needed more than remodeling to improve. the one GOOD thing- rooms were cool and clean but towels, etc. were in small supply. Will never consider this hotel again. « less

So I must say the staff here are super nice, very accommodating and the new rooms look so cool. Very Euro. My only complaint is having stayed on the first floor when construction starts at 9 and I leave for work at 12:30. My overall rating was was a 3 only because of construction. My house keeper for this week was Rosa her services and politeness were Fantastic. Rev. Vick « less

I signed up for a king room and was not disappointed. The room was very clean, well furnished, and the sound from the highway wasn't bad at all.
The staff was very friendly and helpful. Sabrina at the front is especially nice. She always seems very together and professional. A far cry from most budget-ish motels. When I was unloading, I noticed the refrigerator didn't seem to be working to full potential so I went to the front desk to let them know. They regretfully informed me that the maintenance guy was gone for the day, but offered me a satisfactory discount, and the next day, when I came back in the evening, it was fine. There's a good place to take your dog out if you have one, and the pool is pretty nice for what you pay for.
Overall it's probably the best way to go if you're trying to save, but still want to be cozy, especially if you have a pet. Yeah, there's no continental breakfast or bar or anything, but it's really all you need. I have been here three days, and haven't encountered any problems except for the fridge the first day, which they compensated me for above my expectations. Great middle ground motel! « less

The rooms are just so, old and musty, the usual for an older motel really. The cost is average, not the cheapest but low. Old decor and furnishings... was fairly clean for such an old "feeling" place. The bed was not very comfortable but if you're tired enough you will sleep okay. I didn't have a pain in the morning which means it was just passable in my book. « less

I am sorry that you were disappointed with your guest room. We are in the home stretch of a full renovation and the finished floors look incredible. I hope you will give us another try and see how nice the new rooms look.

Kudos to the staff. Front desk staff went above and beyond. Room was good. There was construction so that was the only downside (bathroom was not accessible in the lobby area). While it is probably a good value for Austin, I've stayed at other Red Roof Inns in other cities for slightly better price. I would consider staying her again! « less

"Everything went great. The hotel and it's Management anticipated our every wish and took care of us. It went so well that I have booked our conference there for next year. I have passed the web site on to others and will continue to do so. The Machinist Union is always setting up events all over the world, and I will continue to pass this information on to my brothers and sisters." S.C. - Biloxi, MS
