For $73/night this place has neither a microwave nor a refrigerator. Toilet was backed up when checked in. Called the front desk. After 5 minutes of the phone ringing was told that they will be right there to fix it. Half an hour later somebody finally showed up to fix it.
During the check in at the front desk were asked if we wanted a smoking or non-smoking, even though I clearly indicated non-smoking during booking. Repeated that we wanted a non-smoking room. At that point we were given a lecture on how we're not supposed to smoke in the non-smoking room and what to expect if we do. Assured the clerk again that we will not be smoking. Unable to open the room door into the hallway due to heavy tobacco odor. We are highly intolerant of tobacco smoke. When I order NON-SMOKING, it is for a reason!
I've had better and more pleasant stays in $40/night motels! Do not stay here. « less

Whenever I have to travel, I stay at the Red Roof Inn in Monee Illinois. The staff are friendly, helpful and go out of their way to assist you in anyway. Dipesh is a wonderful! The rooms are clean, spacious and the beds are very comfortable. The hotel is located by a truck stop, but you can still get a quiet night's sleep. « less

I checked on all of the hotels in Monee and Matteson Il., and found the price, room size and service at Red Roof tto be the best!! I was in a situation where my apartment was being repainted and the paint odor was killing me. I spent Saturday night in a hotel in Mattesonl Il; Yhe place was noisy all night, the room was so-so, and the price was not good. Sunday night I decided to look around and found Red Roof Inn in Monee. Boy what a difference!! It was quiet, the room was more than adequate, and the service was excellent, On top of that it was cheaper than the Matteson hotel; If in the future I am looking for a room in this area I will come to Red Roof!! We had a great experience at this hotel. The rooms are very clean, the beds very comfortable, all around great. we were able to get alot of rest. The staff was exceptional, especially Dipesh. He is very friendly and extremely helpful, we are looking forward to seeing him on our next trip. We were also able to park our semi and trailer on property, which was perfect. We are looking forward to our return trip, and a chance at the indoor pool. (no suits this time). See you soon Dipesh. It really was a pleasure staying here. « less
