When making our reservations we were traveling with my father who needs to have his oxygen machine at night. The front desk had that information on file and made sure that our rooms were side by side in case he needed us in the middle of the night. They had some one get his machine out of our SUV take it to his room and asked if we needed anything else not to hesitate to call them. Everyone was very nice and couldn't do enough for us. The rooms were clean and fresh, great experience. « less

We stayed two nights and had a quiet and peaceful rest. I might suggest that they have the large luggage carts available for unloading your luggage into your room. None were available and we are both disabled. The handicap room met all our needs and they even moved a frig/microwave into the room at our request. The pool and hot tub have the handicap "pool lifts" where you can safely lower someone into the water. The amenities on the La Quinta property did not show a hot tub so they might want to update that as we always look for one when shopping around. All the staff went over the top to assist us. We requested a late checkout and they extended us to 2:00 PM which really helped us out. The breakfast area could use a remodel to provide more space for diners. It became very congested and the fresh fruit is actually not in the area with the rest of the food. We thought they didn't have any and by the time we discovered someone with one they had run out. We saw no evidence of insects in the room and they have large flat screen TV's. The room temp was easy to regulate and I suggest setting the fan on constant low at night so it doesn't wake you coming on and off to cool or heat. Another surprise was an ice cream vending machine. I hadn't had an orange dreamsicle in a long time. « less

I read the reviews here before booking and I felt that since we only needed to stay one night I'd give it a try. I'm glad we only needed a one night stay. For the price, the room was relatively clean and the staff was friendly. The rooms are a nice size too. However, I was woken up several times throughout the night due to other guests having loud conversations in the hallway and someone partying in the pool area around 3am. When I was finally able to fall back to sleep I was woken up around 7am with someone blasting what sounded like techno music very loudly from their room for about 45 minutes. I'm a pretty heavy sleeper too normally. I know it's not the hotel's fault that some people have no consideration for others, but after a long day of driving this was not a very restful place to stay. There are several buildings to this hotel and your room key card is required to gain access to each building. However, there were some people in our building partying in the parking lot for some reason and they kept propping the "secure" door open which I didn't appreciate since it defeats the purpose of having a secure entry. So needless to say I would not stay at this hotel again based on the experience with the kind of people this price point and location seem to attract. « less

Pros: Convenient, good price, best mattress in a hotel of any - including the high end chains! The room was clean, the staff was friendly and helpful, and the breakfast was nice. The hotel was easy to get to and convenient for everything we needed. Cons: No elevator, so carrying our luggage up the steps was a pain. It was hopelessly out of date on the furnishings - almost but not quite vintage or quaint, and smelled old - I read somewhere it is a smoking a hotel, so maybe it's some lingering stale smoke. No refrigerator in our room. Over all, well worth the price we paid for 1 night just passing through on our way to somewhere else. « less

Testimonials: Why use Hotel Planner?
"I found your site very easy to use, and useful, and your staff helpful but not at all pushy. (I tried using another site that resulted in "sales" calls and won't use that site again. Conference planning is hectic/nutty enough without someone calling everyday to bug you! :-) Not only would I use you, but recommend you highly." L.F. - Berkeley, CA
"We appreciate you guys helping take one less thing to concern ourselves with off the long list of wedding planning. This website is a gem- I will be certain to spread the word for ya'll." S.P. - San Antonio, TX
