Overall Score4.0/ 5
The room was spacious and very clean and attractive. The breakfast had a lot of choices and the coffee was very good. It was a very good value.

"Clean and Comfortable and Quiet"
Overall Score4.0/ 5
My family stays at La Quinta Inn because of their outstanding pet policy. The staff at this location was extremely helpful and pleasant. Our rooms were bright and clean. Breakfast was well-stocked with the usual breakfast bar items. The outside of this location is very plain and the neighborhood is a bit sketchy. Overall, I would stay here again if I were visiting the north side of Baltimore.

"Ok at best, but not ok overall."
Overall Score2.0/ 5
The La Quinta Baltimore North is a mediocre hotel in a fairly good location. While it's close to everything you may need and a short drive from most venues, it is poorly lit and has a distinct (stale cigarette) odor. If you turn too soon you may find yourself on a 15 min reversal ride back up the interstate, frustrating for anyone who has just traveled a great distance. The lighting is so dim that if you don't turn too soon you will most likely pass it and become just as frustrated. The parking lot is very dark which doesn't set the best tone for your visit and the smell in the lobby will only make you want to hurry to your room. Fortunately the non-smoking rooms do not have the same stale odor. Unfortunately our hotel sheets were rough, cigarette burn holes on the sheets was ridiculous. The hotel amenities were what you'd expect of an average, middle of the road hotel. I will never stay at this hotel again, but I won't discount the chain itself. I booked a 7 room group rate block and was completely embarrassed, as well as apologetic, to my group. This hotel is over-proved unless you are getting it below $70 a night and staying only for one evening. The only thing that salvaged the experience was the large, clean shopping center directly across the street (and of course the short 10 min drive to our venue). Had I not been responsibly for 6 other families, I would have spent the extra $20-$30 and stayed somewhere nicer.
