This hotel made double charge ($ 100) on the reason of smoking. However, I did't smoke at all because I am a non-smoker physically from the birth. I told the the fact to the hotel. The hotel still insisted that I smoked on the telephone conversation. My friend who has a lot of legal knowledge made a call in place of me and claimed strongly. Finally, the hotel agreed the refund. Be careful of the billing from this hotel. « less

Thank You for posting the review on our hotel. There is a little discrepancy in this because I remember talking to the guest and was informed that it was the parents who had stayed at the hotel from Tokyo and that they did not speak English. I stated I would talk to the owners and would try and get the charges reversed and would get back to the daughter of the guests within 30 mins. I wasn't even given 5 minutes and received a call from the son-in-law of the guests that stayed at our hotel. The charges were reversed. We do have a strict policy of no smoking in our building or guest rooms as it is an all non-smoking property and I go to the room personally when notified of any smoke in the rooms. And a smoking fee is charged. We wanted to make sure our guest receive a smoke free environment and as advertised

This is a small hotel away from the center of town, although right on the Madison Ave. trolley. The was was ample with a comfortable king bed, big screen TV, and fridge. The room and facility was clean and pleasant, nothing fancy. The staff is pleasant and helpful. When the WiFi didn't work (reception problem in room 301), the front desk person came up to check it out with us and then promptly moved us to another room. There is a hot breakfast included. « less

This hotel was good value. It was clean albeit a little basic. The staff were helpful. Breakfast is basic. It is located just off the Interstate so easily accessible. You need to either drive into Memphis or get the Trolley from here. I was concerned about parking having read previous reviews but it was fine, well lit and not an issue for us. « less

The staff was very helpful. The room was clean, warm, and quiet. The wireless was down the first day we were there, but the staff provided an alternate network until it got fixed. While this hotel is off Beale Street, it's a very short drive, or an 8$ cab ride to get there. It's only about 2 blocks from the trolley stop. I would call it an excellent value for the money, and would definately stay again. « less
