We needed a place to stay overnight on our way up the southern California coast after a long day of driving, and were pleased with our choice. We got a very good senior, weekend rate at this relatively new Marriott property that included wi-fi and breakfast. The room was not overly large, but very comfortable and quiet, as well as close to the freeway. « less

This is a great place to stay for doing business at Amgen (a few blocks away, across 101).The hotel is slightly hidden next to the Courtyard higher up on the hill. It was relatively quiet, well insulated windows that could be opened for fresh air. There was a heated outdoor pool, jacuzzi and barbeque gas grill area. Check in was cheerful, with chocolates provided. Breakfast included cereals, breads, apples, oranges, bananas, walnuts, raisins. Room was a compact suite, unique closet connecting bathroom and kitchen. The chair is slightly too low for the work desk, use a pillow to raise. AAA rate was a surprisingly good deal on a Friday night. Would not hesitate to come back here. There are two restaurants (Japanese and Italian) in walking distance 'below' the parking lot. « less

We do have one bedroom and two bedroom suites, in addition to our studios, that are very spacious and may accommodate more than one person comfortably.

I travel to Thousand Oaks for work every month. I really wanted to like this place because my preferred hotel is sometimes booked. Unfortunately I will only stay here again if nothing else is available.
First the good: Lots of free parking, close to restaurants, nice front desk staff, rooms are clean, my room had a full kitchen. Coffee and tea in the room. Price seemed ok, my corporate rate including tax was $145 a night.
The bad: Walls were sooo thin. I could hear TVs on both sides, and conversations, like word for word. Toilets being used. Not fun. Also they take pets. I love dogs, so great place if you're traveling with them. But not good for the business traveler who needs to sleep. I had my earplugs in all night both nights I stayed. Highway noise is really bad too. Ask for a room on the back side if you can. Having a full kitchen is nice, but someone in my hall cooked some fish or something that smelled really bad. The smell in the hall was overwhelming, and sadly it was in my room somewhat too. Probably the thin wall thing. Windows only open 4 inches so forget airing it out.
Room 329 specifically: Shower didn't drain well, yuk. No full length mirror. I don't know about you, but I kinda like to check my appearance before I go to work. Not a quality mattress. Thin blankets and no extras in the closet. Didn't have a 'do not disturb' tag but I got one from the front desk. Pillows are good. « less

It became clear upon check out that pets have a higher priority than humans when it comes to room assignments. This facility assigns pets in ANY room that is open! One can ask for a non-smoking room and get one but you can't request a non-pet friendly room because they are in all rooms. True, the rooms are professionally cleaned. However, if you have animal allergies you know that is a joke. What about the hallways and elevators? Are they are omitted in the professional cleaning plan. Just be aware and ask first for non-smoking and a room where pets have not been assigned. Good luck. « less

I am very sorry to hear that you had an allergic reaction at our hotel. We do accept pets in the hotel, but require an outside cleaning service to come in and sanitize the room upon pet departure for an allergen free room. The pets do access the common areas to get to the designated rooms, but our common areas are also cleaned on a daily basis. We do try to put pets in designated areas however, with the Studio, One and Two Bedroom Suite room types this is not always possible.

I showed up at the hotel around noon fully expecting to be told I would have to wait to check in. Not at all. I was checked in and told how to get to my room (the hotel is on a flag lot hiding behind the RoadRunner Sports). My room was clean, neat and made a tidy studio apartment for my weekend. It was within walking distance to In n Out Burger and an exit away from the Oaks Mall which was convenient for me. They have a morning breakfast with juice, coffee, tea, toast, hard boiled eggs, cereal if you need a little jump start in your mornings. You're about a half hour from the San Fernando Valley and Malibu. 10 minutes from the Camarillo Outlet Malls and CSU Channel Islands. « less
