Alexandra House Location. Alexandra House is located in Wroughton, England, three miles from Croate Country Park, three miles from Swindon, four miles from Butterfly World, and six miles from Barbary Castle.
Hotel Features. This modern hotel is situated in 20 acres of landscaped grounds and features an indoor pool, a spa pool, sauna, steam room, gymnasium, tennis courts, and an aerobics studio. Other amenities include Internet connections (surcharge), and complimentary parking.

The Alexandra House modern Orangery restaurant opens onto a patio and barbecue area. It serves a complimentary buffet breakfast daily. Lunch and a plated table d'hote dinner are also served, and drinks are offered in the lounge bar.

Expert Tip. Coate Water Country Park's biggest feature is it 56 acre reservoir, which was built in the 1820s as a headwater tank for the Wiltshire and Berkshire Canal. In the 1970s a smaller lake was created as a flood storage lagoon, which was made Wiltshire's first Local Nature Reserve in 1976. An official Site of Special Scientific Interest, flora and fauna abound.

Driving Directions - Alexandra House
From London Heathrow Airport (LHR):
Distance to Alexandra House is 68 miles, approximately 75 minutes' drive.

Getting there. The Heathrow Express train is the quickest way into London. It departs from the airport every 15 minutes, and takes 15 minutes to reach Paddington Station in central London. Trains connect from here with Swindon station, which is 3 miles from the hotel. Black taxis cost approximately 75 GBP to the hotel. Coaches from the airport run to Swindon. Prices are all subject to change.

Getting around. A car is recommended for accessing attractions within the hotel vicinity.

Driving directions. From Heathrow take the M4 west.
Leave the M4 at Junction 16 and take the third exit signposted Wroughton and B4005.
Continue for approximately half a mile and then turn left, staying on the B4005 towards Wroughton.
Continue for almost two miles, straight over two mini roundabouts until a t junction.
Turn left onto the A4361 for Chiseldon.
Travel straight over a mini roundabout and take the second exit toward Barbury Castle at the next roundabout with the Three Tuns pub on your left.
Continue for 1.5 miles on the B4005 passing a housing estate on the right.
Take the next turning on the right followed by the next road on the right.
Alexandra House is on the left.
