We stayed at this hotel in February 2013. The room rates were very reasonable as this was during off peak season. The rooms are kept clean and the staff was very courteous and helpful. All oceanfront rooms! The rooms don't come with microwave but there is a refrigerator. There is a restaurant(Neptune's) located in the hotel that is all you can eat seafood. We were very impressed by the items on the buffet, it's no Captain George's Seafood Restaurant but if you don't want to drive out, it's convenient to have it right in your hotel. We will be staying here again. « less

I guess that I was not as impressed as most reviewers. The guy at the desk ,checking me in, was missing teeth and wore a stained sweater. Also while checking in, the guy next to me was checking on his room rate which was $20 less than my rate. The rooms were mostly clean but were pretty basic and unimpressive. The price was ok but I just felt that this was a dumpy place and would not return. « less

I've stayed here several times over the past few months. The value, ocean view (every room had one), on site parking lot, and convenient location are pluses. Rooms are clean enough, smell okay, and have a fridge, coffee pot and s flat screen tv. The down side for me is that once summer hits you 're smack in the middle of tourist hell and room rates quadruple. Also in general, the jet noise of VA Beach can be deafening, But these are all part of visiting this region and an issue at all nearby hotels. I'll be staying here until the tourist season arrives. « less
