My husband and I stayed at this hotel on the way home from Dallas, Texas on April 29th 2013, it was our last stop on our trip back to Canada. We got a very good rate and had a great check-in experience with the front desk. We were surprised to see how large and clean the room was and very happy with our choice in hotel. We ate dinner at Sevens in the Casino and the staff there were friendly, fast and efficient and our food was delicious, good price and portions were great size! We didn't do very well in our luck on the slot machines but all in all had a great stay. We actually were checked out by the same person who checked us in who was great again. Unfortunately 3 hours away from the hotel my husband realized he had left his blackberry playbook in our room, we called right away and our info was taken in hopes it would be located and turned in. I've called an additional two times now since we've returned back to Canada and although staff has been friendly we've run into negative results. I have since emailed the hotel from their contact us link and am hoping that and this review will solve our issue. We stayed in room 422 and the Playbook was left on the bed closest to the window. Hopefully honest staff members will prevail and we will get this returned to us COD asap. « less

It was hard to reach this hotel and casino, but our GPS and a few small signs on the hotel's part, got us there! When we got there, though, the front desk staff could not tell us how to get back on the freeway -- they told us to go talk to Security in the casino for directions -- nor could they tell me how to use the iBridge to get on the internet in my room. Nor would they find someone who could. Told me to use the lobby where wifi was free, but we had a lot of business to do, so this was not workable. A big big deficit, I felt.
And then, the next morning, the front desk staff told me exactly how to get on the internet with the iBridge. The training for all staff obviously needs to be better. By then, I was checking out, so didn't help.
BUT, and here's the surprise, the rooms were large and clean and lovely and the view of the river and the St. Louis Arch and the industrial bridges and roads and buildings were like looking at a huge piece of art...absolutely stunning. We saw the bridge at sundown, at night and at sunrise, and I could not keep the curtains closed. This outweighed everything.
P.S. The loosest slots in town were not so loose, but I kept my losses to under $20. The fish dinners were fabulous for $8... So our rest stop on a two-day business journey was all right, except for internet. « less

I picked this hotel for 3 reasons... Free Parking, Free Breakfast and Free WiFi! Needless to say I was disappointed now don't get me wrong the parking was amazing there were plenty of spots and not to far from the front door! There was also free WiFi in the "Lobby" and that worked great, if you want internet you have to get the portable thing from the lobby and to be honest it doesn't work I went threw two of them and still didn't get internet! I was very upset about this! Breakfast was a joke, there were a few beagles, muffins and donuts and cereal..it all was very old and the juice was watered down... A few other things I wasn't happy about was the bed AWFUL is the word I would use for it, the bed was hard as a rock and they didn't have fitted sheets for it... the ac was also super loud! When the staff talked to you only a few would look at you while taking to you needless to say it was rude. On a good note, If you going to the casino it right there that was really nice about it. Also the view was amazing we had an arch/water view. The price of the room wasn't to bad either. The room was really nice real modern and very CLEAN!!! Over all not a horrible property just not my cup of tea! « less
