Comfort Inn at The Zoo is located at the perfect location for those visiting the Henry Doorly Zoo in Omaha. We got there a little early (around noon) and were able to check in early if we would take a second floor room. Ok with us until we realized there is NO elevator and the room was a ways in the back. But all in all the place is OK. Typical breakfast for this chain and the indoor pool was a nice addition. I would say the best thing going for the place is the location. It is basically across the street from the zoo. « less

My wife and I stopped here after a western vacation and chose it for location to the Interstates 29 and 80. This hotel would be a great choice for taking kids to the Omaha Zoo. While nice on the outside, this hotel could benefit from some interior work. Our room had some wallpaper damage where furniture used to be, and the air conditioner was too loud to run all night. The bathroom was super clean with a bountiful amount of hot water. The hot breakfast area was also a plus and was well maintained. « less

This hotel is basically a staging area for visits to the Henry Doorly Zoo, which is practically across the street. As a result, the place was filled with sqealing children. Our biggest complaint was that the walls were too thin. There was a screaming child in the next room which kept my wife awake until after midnight. Otherwise, the hotel was OK. Not spectacular, not too bad, but a decent value. That indoor pool they like to tout? Very small - probably 20 by 15 feet at the most and full of kids every time we walked by. The wireless internet signal was a little weak. I thought the breakfast room was small and would be crowded, but it wasn't too bad at 8:30 on a Sunday morning and their free breakfast included the usual wafflemakers, cereal, and pastries, but they also had eggs, sausage, and yogurt. This really is a nice location, as besides, being close to the zoo, it's right of Interstate 80 and within five miles of downtown. Chances are good we'll stay here on another visit to Omaha. « less

I have stayed at this Comfort Inn many times in the past for work. I always request a quiet 2nd floor room toward the back of the hotel. This time it was spring break for many families who stayed here because of its close proximity to the Henry Doorely Zoo. This made breakfast times very busy and the pool always had lots of children splashing around. This hotel is easy access to I-80 and SR 75. Great access to restaurants in Council Bluffs. The phone system didn't work very well after 10 pm - cut me off at 5 minutes. They changed my phone in the room, but it still didn't take care of the problem. No elevator to 2nd floor. Next time I will stay elsewhere if I am in Omaha in March. « less

We had stayed at this hotel about 8 years ago and it was a very nice visit. This time was way below what we expected. When we walked down the hallway, the smell of cigarette smoke and pot somke was overwhelming. Our room thankfully did not smell that way. The room was comfortable enough, but not what we had asked for. We asked for the two room suite and got one big room. The bathroom still had hair in the tub which is a major turnoff for me. Breakfast was ok even though it was already out of a lot of stuff at 8:30. The staff was friendly and accomodating which makes up for the other stuff. For being by the zoo it was a good location, but unless that was the purpose of my visit, I wouldn't stay again. « less
