We had a wonderful experience at your hotel - there for a family wedding that weekend.
Facility very inviting, Front desk staff, friendly and accommodating, checked in quickly and efficiently. Rooms were clean and very comfortable. Only drawback was that our room wasn't cleaned on Saturday, second day of stay so we didn't have clean towels or sheetavailable Saturday night. We left the room later on Saturday morning which may have accounted for the room being cleaned, Other than that, we had no problems. We didn't try the restaurant but the bar was very nice. Overall, we had a great visit and will stay again next trip to Houston. « less

Black Elk Energy personnel have frequent the hotel before and after Wyndham buy out. There are a couple of complaints we as a group would like to provide you with for better customer service. First, the A/C system in the room does not provide enough cool air to maintain a comfortable atmosphere. Several calls were made to the front desk to assist with this issue during my recent stay. Second, the lower cafe use to open around 4:30-5 a.m. which was extremely accommodating for our guests who set off to work during early hours. This may seem minor on the scale of things however its the little things that make the difference when you're away from home. « less

Not sure why there are so many bad reviews. I thought this place was actually quite nice. I got a really good price online. maybe if I were paying a lot I might expect more. Everything is relative. But it did have a lot of good qualities of an above average hotel. Front staff was generally nice. Yes lobby smells like chlorine but I think the pool is under the same atrium. The smell was not overbearing. You can park in the back near a door and enter the hotel easily from there (parallel parking). I'm posting some pictures of flaws I did notice. But overall I really like it. « less

Regarding the pool, our pool is actually a salt water pool and the hint of chlorine that you detected may have originated from the jacuzzi area. As we are in the process of enhancing this property greatly throughout the interior and exterior, we will be addressing this by enclosing the jacuzzi area so that this is fully contained in the future.
