This was a repeat stay and found it just a nice as before. But this time we were there for a friend’s funeral. It developed that the very friendly desk clerk is a longtime friend of the family of the deceased and was extremely accommodating and pleasant. Clifton is a small Texas town where most everybody knows everyone. They certainly mean it when they say ‘Velkommen’ (Norwegian welcome) and it is genuine. Breakfast was very good and more inclusive than the “continental” advertised. Our room was very clean, had high speed WiFi was quiet and very reasonable. The queen sized beds were firm and very comfortable. Bathroom was very clean which is most important. Our room had all the amenities needed. « less

First the bad: No HD television. Flat screen, yes, but with a stretched-out analog picture. Very irritating. We watched it long enough to get the weather forecast. My HDTV is almost 8 years old. When will hotels catch up?
The good: A requested extra pillow and coffee creamer were delivered quickly and with a smile. My tip was refused. The room temperature was easily adjusted and the fan was quiet. Maybe the occupancy was low, but the hotel seemed quiet overall. The bed was very comfortable. We slept well both nights. Breakfast was adequate, as is usual for free breakfasts. Our ADA room had a large easily-accessible shower.
This is almost the only place to stay in Clifton, but nice regardless. « less

Staff is super friendly.
Walls are paper thin--could hear phone conversations of my neighbors. Could hear neighbors' am alarm clocks. Thank goodness that's all I heard! External walls seemed to adequately block highway traffic noise. Morning breakfast is meager. This morning they ran out of juice; coffee cups were depleted for 10-15 minutes as well around 7 am (breakfast is served 6-9).
Room was comfortable and seemed clean. Air conditioner was a bit noisy but cooled and dehumidified well.
Overall, was comfortable to stay again, but nothing fancy. « less

Testimonials: Why use Hotel Planner?
"Your company has been very useful in narrowing down hotel locations. I like the fact that you give the contact persons information and I'm not having to search for phone numbers to contact them." R.B. - Raleigh, NC
"We greatly appreciate your help. We had made arrangements with a hotel and then found out that it was located in a bad part of town. The trip is in three weeks and we felt doomed. I found your site and we had bids from three hotels within 1 hour. On such short notice and a larger group .. We are thrilled !! Thanks !!" T.G. - Missouri City, MO
