Good clean and (for the type of hotel) high standard room.
Beds were a little high..even for me at 6'2" but otherwise no complaints about the accommodation.

Breakfast comments from other reviewers are backed up by our experience. By 8am, hardly any coffee left, no bread at all, not a lot of choice unless you like cereal and apple juice. So either get up very early, or be prepared with your own stuff.
Also...it isn't far from what is clearly a well used overnight freight train track, which must have a need for every train (about every hour) to sound it's horn loudly and often.
Other than that..a nice place!
If you come through Joaquin the wrong way, it is easy to miss. Signage in the USA isn't always over provided for, so sat nav-less people like us...if coming from the east, persist and you will find.
The owner/managers recommendation for eating out was very good..the Mexican just down the road (over the railway bridge). Top value. « less

The Executive Inn was a pleasant surprise as I drove into the small town just east of Carthage. This is my second time to stay and I am so pleased with the experience. The Hotel has up to date amenities and living quarters. The Hotel is owned and operated by the Patel family from India. They are extremely conscious of cleanliness and a fresh, clean smell in all of the rooms. Nick, the eldest son and manager, is amazing at customer service and guest relations. I have had no problem ever and the family and team work hard to meet any requested extras. The rate is so reasonable that you want to offer more because the value is so great. I love this property and its people. I will use them any time I am int he area. « less
