Found it by accident net surfing. Spending a day or so in LA on a trip up the Pacific Coast Highway into Portland and beyond. Kept finding rooms in the $300-$400 range till I came across this Comfort Inn.
Can't believe this lovely room rents for $69! Free breakfast is served from 6-9 AM. Location is a bit off the beaten path, but don't worry. The motel is a jewel! I highly recommend it. « less

I booked this motel to be close to the Mt. SAC relays where I would be officiating. I had never been to that part of LA before and had no idea of what the neighborhood was like. When I told my friend from Rancho Cucamonga that I would leave my motel door open for him while I took a shower he cautioned me not to do it. He told me when he arrived that he agreed this was a nice motel but the neighborhood was very sketchy. So much for the small town guy from Fort Collins. I do think I would stay there again since my car was garaged and I did not walk the neighborhood and I kept my room locked.The room was clean, did not smell, the water was hot and the breakfast was just fine. It must be an oasis in that are, I guess. « less

This hotel was clean and well maintained, small, but all that we required for a few nights. The staff was great and helpful. I wasn't sure about the neighborhood so I asked upon check-in if the neighborhood was safe. The staff's answer was - No. After completing forms, I asked again just to make sure I heard correctly and again he said - No. He asked that we park in back so that they could see our car on the closed circuit camera. We had no problems while staying there and would probably stay there again but would not be out walking the area at night.
The included breakfast was standard, yogurt, eggs, bagels, waffles and fresh fruit. A good deal for my liking. « less

We try to stay in Choice Hotel properties whenever possible. We recently stayed in the Comfort Inn and found it one of their better hotels. Very clean, staff friendly and helpful. Location was a little confusing although it was billed as being near the 'Fairplex' in Pomona which it was somewhat. If we have to be in the Pomona area again definitely will stay here. It is a keeper on our places to stay. « less
