We were fortunate to get a room that had just been re-done. Very comfy beds. Remember, this is not a luxury hotel, but for two weary travellers looking for a pet-friendly hotel I prefer Quality Inns over others. Rennovations did not interfere with our rest but were unsightly with old mattresses & other refuse piled behind the building. Not pretty but I was happy our regular stop on the way to the Gulf Coast received a make-over. « less

On a recent 5 day trip from Arkansas to Florida and back, we stayed at the Quality Inn in Richmond Hill, FL. It was undergoing major renovations at the time, which presented a few difficulties, such as the first room we were assigned would not open with anyone's key - not even maintenance staff's keys. Noisy location, and the walls are very thin, meaning that we could hear other people in their rooms, as well as their televisions. Good location - just off Interstate 95, for easy travel on and off. Numerous restaurants nearby. « less

I was a little worried about staying here due to a few of the posts, however, after I went in and spoke to the lady at the front desk I thought I would give it a try. It was pretty late at night and I needed to stop on our way back from Disney. Brittany (the front desk employee) was one of the nicest hotel employees I have ever met. She was very friendly and helpful and knew a lot about the area even though she had not lived there long herself. The hotel was very clean. Our room was clean, the beds were comfortable and the breakfast was good. They had cereals, fruit, eggs, sausage, grits and etc.. all for free. Next time I am traveling through I will not hesitate to stay here again. Thank you Brittany for being so nice to my family and myself. « less

We noticed construction when we checked in but were assured by the front desk that the work would stop by 7 pm. Our rooms were dirty, the tv didn't work, there was construction noise with banging, loud cursing by workers and workers running up and down the corridor until 2 am! I complained repeatedly and nothing was done. There were carloads of sleazy characters hanging around in the parking lot. The next morning we went to eat breakfast and the health department had shut down the hot breakfast the day before so just cold pastries. I asked several times to talk to the manager but he refused to see me. I called Quality Inn to complain and they wouldn't take my complaint until I had checked out because they say the manager should have a right to fix the problem well, that didn't happen. Finally I got a call six weeks later from the hotel offering me 2000 quality points for my inconvenience. I am so disappointed with Quality Inn in general and this hotel in particular. Stay far away from this dive. « less

The hotel is very conveniently located close to the exit on I 95 and we wanted to stay within our budget. Our expectations were not high as it became clear that this hotel is under renovation currently. But the check in was friendly so we gave it a chance. To our amazement, the room was very pretty and fresh with brandnew furniture! Nice flat screen, fridge, microwave. The clerk told us they will get everything new and have new mangement. We will give it a try again in the future. « less
