Stayed here for one night. It is what it is: Basic and Functional
What I like about the room:
1) It has a frig and microwave so if you are on special diet or if you want to bring your own food, then you can work something out. There is a groceries nearby called "Tops" so you can technically buy groceries and save monies on meals.
2) It is clean enough. Pillows and Bed sheets are comfortable. I removed the top sheets right away as they are kind of dusty.
3) Although I did not use it, the room has flat screen T.V.
4) Check in and check out were smooth.
What I do not like about it:
1) The breakfast is below basic. I have been to two-star hotels that include breakfast and this one is way below basic. I actually decided to go out for breakfast.
2) The room is kind of smelly and musty. It is a non-smoking room and it can be attributed to the age of the building.
3) The fan in the bathroom is so loud. When you turn the bathroom lights on, the fan will turn on automatically as well and it is so loud (I am serious). You can wake your room mate up (if you have one) by simply turning the fan on.
4) The side bed lights are so bright. Yes, it has a dimmer after pressing the switch several times but still bright. It is not really a reading lamp.
Overall, it is basic and functional. For one night, it is okay. « less

I booked via Expedia and stayed one night in a 2 queen non-smoking room at the end of April.
From check-in to check-out, I had a great experience. The high level of customer service provided by both the front desk staff and maintenance staff was commendable. After checking into our room, we noticed that a lightbulb was missing from one of the bedside lamps, so I walked over to the front desk to ask for a new bulb and a maintenance staff member (I wish that I'd gotten his name) came to the room about 10 minutes later to replace the bulb. Before he left, he noticed that our heater was off, so he asked if we were cold and showed us how to turn the heater on (we found that the room was a comfortable temperature, so we didn't feel the need to turn the heat on, but this attention to detail was highly appreciated). We saw him again the next morning before we checked out and thanked him for his excellent service.
Our room was quiet and clean with pleasant decor and an LCD TV. There was no hint of a smokey smell, but I had packed room spray just in case. The shower worked well and the shampoo/conditioner/soap dispenser was a nice touch. There was another soap dispenser beside the sink and a coffee maker in the same area.
Breakfast was good. There was toast, bagels (with butter, jam and cream cheese), cereal, (Frosted Flakes and another cereal that I don't recall), make-your-own waffles, apples, coffee, tea, milk, orange juice, and probably a bit more that I'm forgetting.
Overall, for the high level of service and quality of the rooms, this motel was well worth the $69 I paid. For a motel, the Days Inn Tonawanda is at the top of its class. I will definitely stay here again on my next cross-border shopping trip! « less

the room was not totally clean, a light switch cover was loose in the bathroom. The lighting was dim, and there was a water stain on the ceiling near the back door. however the staff was friendly and helpful and the facility had a very large dining area for the continental breakfastthat was clean need to and well presented. The facility is larger than it appears and it is initially impressive. « less

Hotel was so so - we only stayed for one night. There were no elevators and the girl at the front desk had no concern for my mother who is 81 and had to climb 2 flights of stairs. When I asked her for a 1st floor room she said she didn't have one but she NEVER EVEN LOOKED IN HE COMPUTER. « less
