Some of the staff was decent but it was a lady and guy who were on the front desk on our second day who were RUDE....to our guests as they waited in the lobby for us to get there. Is that the "love" the State of Virigina bosts about...if so, please KEEP it.
The rooms were VERY hard to warm, and you could hear noises next door...I felt safe, the hotel was OFF of Jefferson Ave, which has a small mall and TGIF to Target, and most any other meal place you can think of. There is an ice skating rink, CNU, hospital, and a couple of museums, all within about a 7minute drive (with traffic lights).....So overall not bad for a work sponsored stay. « less

We booked this hotel based on the location near cnu and it being mentioned on cnu website. We pull in and are created by cars that looked like they were at one time probably part of a crime. The lady at the front desk was the only thing good about this place. She was super nice and probably should be employed elsewhere. She informed us that we were upgraded for free. Gosh help us if we ended up on the not upgraded room. We enter the room and it was nothing short of disgusting. It was dirty small and the furniture was gross. The last straw was the toilet that wouldn't flush. When we called the front desk the very nice women came And tried to teAch is how to flush our toilet by sticking our hands in the bowl and pulling the level. We then informed her we were leaving and went elsewhere. She was super nice though and fully refunded our money « less

We know that our guests have multiple hotel choices, which is why our mission is to provide clean, comfortable rooms at an affordable price that guests want to come back to. The room condition you describe is totally unacceptable to me and not at all representative of our quality standards. In response to your post, I have met with our hotel staff and used your review to help coach them on room cleaning and inspection policy.
It's not common that we get the sort of feedback you provided, and although it is discouraging to read, it will help us make our hotel even better in the future. Let me apologize again that your stay was not completely satisfying, and assure you that we will continue to listen to our guests in forums like this one or directly (please visit our website and click the Contact Us link at the bottom of the page).
