Stayed in this property in November. Very few complaints about the hotel; only inconvenience was the location - hotel is on the west edge of town, while most dining/shopping options are located on the east side closer to the interstate. As a property itself, the hotel was a good value and had no issues with the stay. « less

We had to book a last minute room in Watertown due to the interstate closing. The Ramkota had the most reasonable rate. My one complaint was they were WAY off the interstate - about 4 miles in, I believe. I really liked the commons area outside of the hotel rooms. This was a nice seating area to talk to friends or get some work done on the computer, but not have to be sitting in the hotel room. Bridgette checked us in and was very friendly. The bar staff was slammed by all the sudden guests due to weather but stayed upbeat. Housekeeping was keeping us up to speed on the weather. Deb, the manager helped us out the next morning and was soooooo helpful! If the roads wouldn't have opened up, we were going to spend another night and would have been happy to be at the Ramkota again. « less

Thank you for taking the time to write a review of your recent stay. I know the blizzard conditions had many like yourself needing room for one or even two nights. We were happy to be a warm and comfortable place for you out of the elements. We hope everyone arrived home safely and know that we are here and looking forward to seeing you again - it doesn't have to be a blizzard, perhaps bring the family for some summer fun in Watertown!
Thank you again for the response, we look forward to your next visit! Deb Stanley - General Manager

It is unfortunate that the BW Ramkota in Watertown has been allowed to get into the poor shape that it is in. The BW Ramkota used to be the shining jewel of lodging in Watertown, but time has not been kind to this property. Management is apparently not interested in performing basic maintenance. The day I stayed here, it was raining outside and literally there was leaks in the hallway and atriums. They had buckets set up to catch the rain leaking from the roof. The rooms are small and in dire need of upgrades. Very few power outlets greet todays business traveler. The beds are uncomfortable and dated. The plumbing is horrible as it takes forever for the sink/tub to drain. The Ramkota of 15 years ago is the Ramkota of today. The pool/spa area is in horrible shape. The spa was just slightly warmer than bath water. I hope they do some ugrades to this property, because even though the condition has allowed to fall well below the acceptable line, this is not the case in the staff. They are very friendly and accomidating. « less

Thank you for taking the time to write a comment on your recent stay. We appreciate hearing directly from our guests as that helps us to focus our efforts. I want you to know we are continually reinvesting in our property. I have been the manager since 2004 and while we cannot make the size of the rooms larger, we work hard to keep them well maintained and well appointed.
We have gotten the leaks in the atrium taken care of, unfortunately it is when it rains that we discover a problem.
Thank you for the lovely comments regarding the staff, I will be sure to share with them, we have a great team that works well together! We hope you will be back again, I see by your signature you have some ties to Hockey - we are the closest lodging to our hockey arena and we offer a hockey rate as well. We look forward to serving you again.

It's a nice hotel. It's clean and comfortable, but it's expensive and it's quite far out of town. It's a pet friendly hotel, but they have so many rules it makes you feel a little uncomfortable. I know they have to have pet guidelines but the give you a rule list with your check in and they have signs posted about how to care for your dog while in the hotel. The room was large and quiet. overall it was an okay experience. « less

Thank you for your response. You must have been here when the North American Armbruster group was here, yes our hotel is pet friendly! We know many travel with their pets, but our guidelines are very reasonable. The only reason for the signs on the entrance -it was requested by the group. They were dismayed that some of their group were not properly picking up after their dogs.
Our hope is that every guest enjoys their stay and we thank you for your comments. We hope to see you again soon. Deb Stanley General Manager
