I am a loyal Best Western traveler and have stayed at the other hotels in the Anaheim area, but find this one to be the best value and at a great location. This is my second time staying here while visiting Disneyland. My husband and I stayed 4 nights to use a 3-day park-hopper ticket. It is very easy to walk to the park in the morning and leave through the employee parking lot. The employee gate is not always available for entrance depending on who is at the gate, but we did get in one evening to go to Downtown Disney during our stay. The rooms have been upgraded since my last visit and the bedding is a solid brown, much nicer than the floral bedspreads. I have a very nice mattress at home and was able to sleep very well on the Queen bed, as did my husband. Our room was clean, and I do check under and around the bed as I have very bad allergies and need things to be clean. The Internet worked fine as did the air-conditioning. We did not use the pool or hot tub, but would have if the weather had been warmer. Upali was the front desk clerk that served us most days. He was very pleasant and accommodating to our needs. The breakfast food is microwave fast food, but they do have fresh fruit, low-fat and non-fat milk for cereal, yogurt, bread, peanut butter and jelly, tea, coffee, and orange juice. They might be upgrading the breakfast in the future, but it is enough for getting the day started. The parking lot is small, so once parked, it is better to walk where you want to go. The hotel is on a busy street, so bring earplugs if sound bothers you. Ask for a 3rd floor room if you don’t like the sound of footsteps. « less

Previous to me booking a hotel for our Disneyland trip, I actually read good reviews of this place, so I went for it. Location-if you don't mind walking about 12-15 minutes up an uphill bridge to the Disneyland tram, then go for it. When I first arrived, about 10:30 am they didnt have any rooms available for me to check-in, which was what I kind of expected anyways. I was lucky enough to find the last available parking spot on the lot. Parking lot was very small. I was able to leave my car parked there while we went to Disneyland for the day. Free parking was a plus. We came back to hotel at around 4pm to check in our room, having to once again do the 15 minute walk back to hotel and 15 minute walk back to Disneyland. At 11 o'clock at night, it wasn't very fun walking back to the hotel after a long day at Disneyland. The room had a really bad old smelling stench, as if people been smoking in it for years. The furniture wasn't that nice, and the bed spreads were an ugly brown caramel color. The carpet looked so old and dingy too. The pillows had no pillow cases on them either, which kind of grossed me out. When I first arrived at the hotel at 10:30 am, I needed to use the restroom after a long drive. There were no public restrooms in the lobby, so one of the maids let me into a room that wasn't clean to use the restroom. Lobby was very small. Our room was only two doors down from the Main Street (Ball Rd.). You could hear the hustle and bustle of traffic and cars all night long. At 7a.m. We could hear the neighbors so crystal clear. The walls are paper thin. We could hear them talking, warming things up in the microwave, baby crying, as if they were in our room just about! I wanted to sleep in, being on vacation and all, but that was completely impossible. We were on the bottom floor and could hear so many footsteps coming from above. I would have much rather paid $30 more to stay in a nicer, cleaner, better location closer to Disneyland (including a shuttle) hotel, rather than staying here. It was ghetto. And what we paid, with a AAA discount, of $157 with taxes, still seemed like a lot for this place. So not worth it, would stay at Candy Cane Inn again next time. « less

We planned on spending 3 consecutive days at Disney so we selected this hotel because the two other Best Western brands were booked solid for the days we would be there. It was my wife and son who was 3 years old at the time. When you just finish a long drive with a 3 year old you just want to get out of the car and relax.
Upon arriving and checking in, several guest were arguing with the desk clerk which threw up a red flag right away. The hotel clerk was a young lady and seemed pretty new so I could tell she was flustered and doing the best she could. Someone finally came to help her and the aggravated guest and they were taken care of but I had to wait about 15 minutes which annoyed me. The other problem is they don't seem to have enough parking to accommodate all of their guest. When the lot fills up you then have to double and triple park and leave your keys in case someone needs to get out. I didn't like that at all.
I am sure these rooms get used a lot but when we entered it did not seem very clean and my wife mentioned something about it right away. I did call down to the front guest to inform them of my unhappiness with the cleanliness of the room. They said they would send someone by to clean while we were out at the park.
When we returned, it didn't seem like much had changed. In fact, while I was playing with my son, he dropped his bear on the ground and when I went to pick it up I found an empty CONDOM wrapper at the edge of the bed. I was pretty ticked off.
The beds were okay and all in all it was not a pleasant stay at the hotel. Good thing is we did not spend much time there.
They do have a pool and hot tub but it was pretty cold so we did not use. Good addition for people with kids when the weather is good for it.
It's a good location at a decent price, but the uncleanness of the rooms, lack of parking and tiny and overly crowded dining area gives this place a thumbs down for me. « less

Testimonials: Why use Hotel Planner?
"Your company has been very useful in narrowing down hotel locations. I like the fact that you give the contact persons information and I'm not having to search for phone numbers to contact them." R.B. - Raleigh, NC
"Bob responded very promptly and the booking process went very well. They answered all our questions and offered the rooms we needed at the price they quoted. It was a very efficient way of finding a hotel for our group. You have been excellent to deal with. I have already referred your company to another teacher in our school. Thank you for being so helpful and following up on everything!!" G.W. - Cleveland, OH
