When I got there and saw the inside of the hotel and then the suite, I was SO pleasantly surprised how clean and beautiful it was. The rooms were extremely clean and spacious. The attendants working there were extremely nice and helpful. This will be my second time staying in this hotspot. If you have a chance to pick a place to stay while in Charleston, I highly recommend this place. I am not an easy person to please. « less

This hotel was clean and conveniently located being only about 10 minutes from historic Charleston and just down the street from the Tanger Outlets. The staff was pleasant, knowledgable and friendly. My only complaint was that the room I was staying in was directly above the indoor pool and as you might imagine, the echoes of the teens swimming and having fun just below my room were bothersome. My only suggestion, make sure your room is situated well away from the pool area. « less

We stayed here to access the downtown which is about 15 minutes drive. The staff were good at reception and attentive. The lobby was under renovation which is probably finished by now. Staff coped well with disruption of checking in at a table and dealing with construction noise which started early. Room was clean and quiet ( until morning construction) with the only problem as mentioned in an earlier review that the toilet was not affixed to the floor properly. As pointed out by the manager in another review, this hotel caters to all market segments and does it well. There are many trucks parked in the vicinity and many two fisted boisterous drinkers at the managers reception who use the pool area as an ashtray. If you prefer a quiet, smoke free pool area this is not the place for you. If your idea of a managers reception is the Harvard library reading room look elsewhere, otherwise this is an integrating stopover with lots of atmosphere. « less

Our group booked 2 rooms for one night and really loved the updated feel of the hotel. The rooms are really comfortable and overall pretty quiet on the 4th floor. It was also very clean. There was only one speed bump when we arrived. One of the rooms we had did not have a door that locked at all and smelled horribly of cigarettes. There happened to be 2 hotel representatives in the hallway and they checked out what was wrong with the door. Before we were even down in the lobby they had called and had the room changed and the desk clerk had the key ready. I was thoroughly impressed. Another small downside was the water was never really hot hot, just warm in the shower.
Breakfast was cereal, bagels, waffles, eggs, biscuits and sausage patties when we were there, and was pretty crowded at 9:30 am.
Overall really enjoyed this place! There is truck parking along the road leading into the hotel but other than creating a blindspot was no bother. « less

I recently had the pleasure of staying at the Comfort Suites of North Charleston on a business trip. I ended up being more than pleased with my choice, so much so that I would not plain to stay anywhere else on my next trip. The staff was pleasant, the room was spotless, the breakfast was excellent. Without hesitation the friendly staff made accommodations for me to get to the airport. If all Comfort Suites were ran to this caliber, I would never have to stress about travel.
