we got to San Simeon at 3 a.m. Saturday may 4th got a family room it had 2 queen beds 1 king perfect for 4 kids & 2 adults room was clean people nice the place was quiet. the only problems we had was it was an upstairs room and being disabled it was hard for me to walk up & down the stairs when the kids went swimming my 11 year old sons towel was taken by a teenager leaving my 11 yr old without a towel and the 16 or 17 yr old obviously to rude and lazy to get a towel of his own from the front desk when he walked by it and my son being to scared of the boy to ask for it and his dad didn't ask for it either I guess mom should have been watching them instead because I would have let it be known that he should get his own towel. other than that and our 50 in t.v had a bad picture it was a very good experience. across the street is a shopping center and when I was young a game room/mini golf but we were not able to go over there to see if it was still there. next time we will. « less

We just overnighted here and it was clean, quiet and had a comfortable bed. They are stingy with towels in the room but you can get more at the desk....

We just overnighted here and it was clean, quiet and had a comfortable bed. They are stingy with towels in the room but you can get more at the desk. This is an old hotel with popcorn ceilings and old tile. Wifi is free. The TV was an old, tired one with limited channels and poor reception. This hotel is clustered with quite a few others just across Hwy 1 from the ocean. The hotel accepts pets for a charge. « less

There really is very little in San Simeon except for Hearst Castle and elephant seals so we weren't expecting a lot so were not disappointed. The hotel is a basic 'U' shaped motel with 2 storeys. We were on the lower floor but fortunately the guests above we're quiet but think that noisy ones would be a real problem as every footstep can be heard below. The reception was friendly and efficient, the room basic and clean and the beds average. Parking is around the inner complex and was not a problem in March when we were there. Wifi is available but not very fast. « less

This motel was totally met our needs during our spring break trip. The girl who checked us in was quick and helpful. We had two queen beds and they were comfy. The room was quite large however the furniture was very dated as was the tv. For the price we paid on Hotwire I have no complaints. The room was clean and everything worked as it should except...the wifi. During the day when no one was at the hotel it worked but during the evening hours when everyone was trying to use it it was slower than a dinosaur.... It would have been really nice for the wifi to be quicker. « less
