Originall built as an exclusive club for affluent Japanese seeking a spacious, tranquil retreat, the Hotel Wailea spread 18 four-unit buildings around 15 acres. Nestled on the slopes of Mount Haleakala, lush, tropical gardens overlook the world-renown Wailea Resort. Partially open to western views, separate Japanese style "ofuto" baths make it possible for guests to enjoy the sun setting into the ocean while submerged in a warm, flowing-water bath. A nominal resort fee includes use of the spa, health center equipment, parking, internet, beach attendants and Kona Coffee bar.
