Well, there is both positive and negative. Generally, I believe in the adage "you get what you pay for." The rate was $50. Parking and check in were easy and fast. Problem is that I absolutely hate cigarette smoke and when I entered the reception area, the place wreaked and I mean was totally saturated with cigarette smoke. I asked for non-smoking and the room also wreaked from smoking to the point that my eyes were tearing and burning. Fortunately, I was so tired that I just collapsed in bed, woke up in the morning and was on my way. Arrived late and left early, With the cigarette smell I would not have been able to work in the room for more than my briefly checking email on my laptop if I had arrived earlier. OK the good...room and reception area were clean. Room was very clean and new carpeting. I was in the first room around the corner from reception.There were a few spots of chipped paint in the bathroom but that was really no big deal. The breakfast was awful. No fruit...nothing healthy to eat....just junk with sugar, sugar and more sugar. Had cup of coffee and went out to eat breakfast. Overall, if cigarette smoke doesn't bother you and you want decent/good room for the nite with comfortable bed, good wifi connection and love to pile on the sugar for breakfast then you can't beat this place for $50 a nite....atleast that is the rate I got on "booking.com" « less

We live in OKC and travel to NC once a year ago, we always stay at the Magnolia Inn. The staff is great, rooms are clean and nice. We splurged this last time and got the Oriental Suite with a whirlpool bath, that was great! Totally worth it. « less

The next time we visit family in the area, we'll be booking with them again. I'd like to try one of the other themed rooms. « less
