we have just returned from a 16 night stay at this hotel, it s fabulous, we had 2 big beds for 2 adults and 1 child age 9, very comfy after a long day with lots of walking!! lovely cool aircon, an iron/board, oven, coffe/tea facilities, fridge, flat screen tv, what more can you ask for? housekeeping came every day and made beds left us fresh towels/facecloths/soap/shampoo emptied bins etc, all the recpetion staff went out of their way to be "of service" and were happy to help, free wifi throughout and breakfast is good and plentiful! there is an ice machine on each floor and launderette (2 dollars wash and 2 dollars to dry) if anyone need any more info please email, we are definately returning to this hotel next year!! « less

We just returned from a stay at Destiny Palms. We received a call in the morning of the day we checked in asking if we were still coming. First time I have ever had a hotel call to make sure I was coming. Make sure to check your room charges at check-in. I had purchased an Amazon Local voucher for three nights for a total of $109. I was to pay 3.95 and approx. 14% sales tax per night when I arrived. The front desk clerk charged me $110. I told him I didn't think it was right and the reason he gave was there was a lot of taxes. I gave up and went back in the morning to a different clerk who was very nice and apologized and credited $83 to my credit card.
Overall the hotel was good but it was older with some wear. We had 2 adults and 2 children and were in a double queen room. The room was small with lots of sharp corners we kept bumping into. There was not a lot of storage so we just left our clothes in the suitcase and pulled out what we needed for the day.
One of the beds was right up against the wall and there was a rocker type light switch at mattress level to control the lights over both beds. This seemed convenient until my five year old turned it on twice during the middle of our first night by mistake.
The air conditioner was noisy at times. There was only a shower, not a tub in the bathroom which is fine for adults but harder for young children. The bedding was very nice and comfortable. The room had a toaster oven not a microwave oven. There went the late night popcorn. The refrigerator didn't have a freezer section so you couldn't freeze water to take to the parks.
They have an outside pool. The kids liked it. It was a smaller one and didn't look like it had been cleaned that day. There were leaves in the bottom of the pool.
The hotel is in a nice location. It is beside a McDonalds and a Houlihans. It is a short drive to Disney and not very crowded area.
Overall, the hotel was good to have a place to come back to sleep in but if you are planning to spend much time at the hotel then I would advise going somewhere else. I would come back if I needed a place to stay with low cost lodging for a few days but if I was planning a week long trip I would probably stay somewhere else. « less

I just love this hotel, the bed is the most comfrontable I've ever slept in. They have a great continenal breakfast. They also have a refrigator, toaster oven and a great LCD Flat screen TV in the room. You can access the internet in the front lobby or use their free wifi. The room was very clean. When I broke my ankle and was in a wheel chair, they put me in a room on the ground floor, very accessable. They are very close to disney. Everyone at the hotel treated us wonderful. The rooms were GREAT, clean, updated, including a refrigerator, toaster oven and a newer LCD flat screen tv. This was our 2nd trip there and the manager ' Chuck " is also exceptional. He goes out of his way to see that you are happy and satisfied. The first time we went with a party of 10, and there wasn't a single complaint. Even better yet I believe we all said that if we're in this area, this is the hotel we're staying at. i had some coupons for 3day 2 nights they let me use 2 together for 3 nights. when we left after the 3rd night they were counfused as to why i was leaving. i told the lady at the desk i only wanted to stay 3 nights. So we were over an hour away when the manager Chuck called and asked why we left. Told him we only needed 3 nights. He said he will refund part of the price for the day we did not use. 2days later they chargered me the money thats was to be refunded. I called Chuck he got very rude and said its not his problem. « less
