Let me say first of all, this is a nice Hotel in Atlanta, just a short walk to Emory Hospital. We stayed here while my stepmom had surgery. The staff was excellent, very courteous, and professional. The rooms are nice, a wee bit larger than your average hotel room. Check in and out was a breeze, and parking was close by. Overall, I would give this hotel very good marks, the only thing that patrons need to be aware of is that this is downtown Atlanta, and there are many homeless people that are on the streets all day and sleep there at night. They wil ask you for money or for food. But again, overall a good 2 days at the Hyatt and my stepmom is doing fine! « less

I stayed in this Hotel for 4 days for a conference I attended in Atlanta. Really didn't know what to expect - I was extremely surprised at the level of customer service provided. Everyone worked together to make it a pleasant and enjoyable experience. The food was good, the beds were comfortable and housekeeping was excellent. I would highly recommend this hotel to a business traveler or someone just in to see the city. « less

Hyatt hotels have been good for us in the past and we expected the same here but it was not to be. Our room had issues. The desk legs were not tightened on and with one good shove the desk would likely fall over. The toilet seat was broken and shifted from side to side. The floor and baseboard in the bathroom had some decay and chipping. We asked for another room and moved across the hall, but similar problems here as well. Not sure why other reviews have not noted the TINY bathroom space. You have to squeeze your body between toilet and shower just to close the door! Bathtub/shower combo is very small. This seems odd since the room itself is quite large. Beyond the items listed above, there was an armed guard walking back and forth all night in the hall outside our room! Not sure if this made me feel safe or unsafe? The gated outdoor parking lot has barbed wire wrapped all around? Again, not sure if this made me feel safe or unsafe??? On the plus side this hotel does serve a decent breakfast included in the rate. The room layout is quite nice with large sofa/sitting area and a very large TV. We ended up switching to another hotel as we were just not comfortable here. Wish I could say good things about this Hyatt hotel but this property is just not a good choice. Really deserves 1 or 2 stars but being generous and kind. « less

5 min walk from the subway/MARTA...I was a little worried, from the looks of some of the reviews..but I don't know what the others were talking about! I had a great room (top floor 1003 I think was the room?)Microwave, mini-frige and big TV too.very friendly staff and check-in process, great shuttle that dropped me off at the GWCC (but only a 10 min walk away), and the best, hands-down, free breakfast I have ever seen! I loved the oatmeal and "gourmet breakfast sandwiches", fruit, toast, pastries, juices, cereal. everything! Great coffee too "to-go" if you wanted..That pretty much sums it up, and is all you need to know IMO! PS the hotel had a great assortment of salads and snacks you could buy or there was a great looking menu for in-room dining..however I had read good things about the restaurant next door "Max Lager's" so I tried their 'crispy shrimp' fries and sauteed spinach-fabulous! so much so I had the same thing the next night!... maybe the best fries I have ever had! PSSThere are consistent complaints about the small bathroom-and it WAS a small bathroom-no doubt..but unless you are larger than average size..I don't see this as a deal-breaker..I mean, how much time are you going to be spending in there??? I found pretty much all of the Atlanta hotels were a bit pricey-even with "convention rates" so if you have to stay somewhere, I would definitely stay here again. « less

I was a bit nervous about this hotel after reading some previous reviews and comments on the area of town. We stayed here for the Final Four and walked to the Georgia Dome...sometimes back at 12:30 am and felt completely safe always. There was a large and friendly police presence since 73,000 people were there! First, the bad thing about this hotel is the very tiny bathroom. Secondly, it is an open suite and not private ....bathroom too small to dress in...so if you are not with your spouse or loved one.....could possibly be an issue. But the suite is quite comfortable with a microwave and refrigerator and a half wall between bedroom and living area. I can't say enough good things about the staff at this hotel..very friendly and welcoming from front desk to housekeeping. The breakfast was good with options for everyone including healthy offerings but needs to stay open longer. There is a small grill and bar area in the lobby to order snacks, small meals and cocktails. The Hyatt Regency is down the block if you want bigger restaurants and bar...also good restaurants in area. White Oak Kitchen & Cocktails was good. They charge $22 day for parking but all in all we were pleasantly surprised. « less
