That said the staff are friendly and do there best, all except the breakfast manager who might benefit from going back to charm school « less

Due to a bike event in NYC we couldn't get rooms at our usual favorite. Picked this one on location and price. Nothing glamorous, a little worn in spots, this was nevertheless clean and very friendly. Beds were very comfortable, bathroom was re-done in marble and shower was great. Layout was good for a NYC hotel. It is a European hotel and similar to a hotel I stayed in in Paris. Not as stylish as Americans are used to. Location was fabulous. Only complaint is we stayed three days and ran out of shampoo and conditioner. Soap was down to a sliver . « less

Dylan Hotel is part of the Eurostars chain which caters to Europeans. From that perspective, as someone who has traveled in Europe a lot, this is a fine tourist-class hotel. The bathroom in my room was nicely redone and truly comfortable. The rest of room, not so much. Blackout curtains were pulled when I arrived. I realized there was no option other than blackout curtains available and to open the curtains completely exposed me to the office building next door. Having the option of a sheer curtain would be nice. (I was on fifth floor). CNN and several other TV stations did not work on the house TV. No excuse for that at all. Housekeeping did not do a thorough job in replenishing my room during the stay. That was disappointing. Bed was firm and fine. WiFi was spotty and could be slow. There was coffee and tea in the room, however, not replenished completely after having one cup of coffee. 'Average' is the ideal rating for this hotel. The Hotwire price I got for the room was above average, however, so I was not terribly impressed with the value for the money spent. Buyer beware. You can do much better nowadays in New York City. « less

"A great all around service. I will tell all my friends that are getting married in the near future about the great experience I've had." B.P. - Denver, CO
"When people provide customer friendly service in today’s world, it should be applauded! So many businesses have taken almost and adversarial attitude towards the customer, in other words, they over compensate for a consumer not following through. As a business, it is my understanding, that the business should always follow through and do as they promise! Loyalty between consumers and businesses should remain alive, profit above service is a bad plan and will cost the business in the long run!" R.F. - Denver, CO
