My reservations were set at another hotel. My GPS guided me to this hotel. I was surprised to see that it was clean outside as well as the inside. The front desk staff made me feel I was a VIP guest that they were expecting to arrive. Amy, Scott,Timothy, Audio, made me know that they are the family staffed Establishment and I loved it. I will always stay at this hotel on all my future stays in the city of Birmingham,AL. I had my father with me that is disabled we were offered a handicapped room. That was on the First floor which made it even more better. THANKS,,,,COMFORT INN HOMEWOOD,,,100% ON MY LIST....... « less

This place is a dump. I booked this room last minute for a conference. The area is nice, so thought the hotel should be decent, NOT !! The only good thing was the water pressure in the shower.
1. Stains, scuffs, wear and tear everywhere. 2. Part of the window curtain falling off, not attached 3. Stains all over the granite in the bathroom, how does granite get stained ? 4. Rust around lighting in the bathroom 5. Bath towels stained and actually tattered! I took the towel down to front office to show them what they expect their guests to use, she just said it shouldn't have been in there, also told her the hotel was run down,etc.. Never apologized for anything.
Needless to say, I slept in my clothes, the positive reviews on here can't be accurate, or the people writing them have zero standards. « less

This hotel is in much need of cleaning!!!!!!! I was given room 120 and the bathroom has mold in the shower the sink stopper was broken and missing a trash can. The continental breakfast was missing fruit. There were stains on all of the chairs it was a disaster. While getting breakfast at 7:00 am the staff came in to empty the trash which was noticeably full. But not from the current day but previous days. In the room the window had a curtain but missing a sheer for privacy. I give this establishment a poor rating and do not recommend anyone staying here. « less

The lady at the front..I think Paula was her name..was very knowledgeable about the surrounding area. The way you are treated when you ask questions determines a lot on me for a hotel stay and she was great. « less
