Date of stay- 17/05/13. We paid 99$ and damn not worth the price. Reasons: 1.)room lightings not working( previous customer's reviews were right if we had only took it seriously).2.) NO DRAINS 3.) Top sheet stained with blood( what the hell!) 4.) poor breakfast ( we came down to have breakfast and staff took the bread and juices away, was grumpy and rushing to clear the table whilst were still eating. 5.) My family and I traveled to San Marcos for a wedding in Kyle, Texas. We did not have a room reserved. We stopped at the Summit Inn Hotel & Suites, Ms. Wendy was very helpful and gave us information for the location we needed to go to in Kyle. Room was nice and clean. Price was very reasonable. Unfortunately the best I can say about this motel is that we're leaving. No drains in the sink or tub, bathroom light didn't work, bedside light didn't work, air conditioner...

Unfortunately the best I can say about this motel is that we're leaving. No drains in the sink or tub, bathroom light didn't work, bedside light didn't work, air conditioner sounded like a B-52 bomber, we were given the wrong room key, towels were small, thin and rough and the toilet wasn't cleaned. But the TV, coffee maker and refrigerator did work. « less

i come here every other week my experiences here are always satisftying , thats why i always come back for less than $50 a night with a flat screen tv ,and the convenience it is to town is a perfect spot for me . i read most peoples complaints and half are not true, the management always takes cares of the issues right away if theres any issues, but remember he has to have someone point them out in order for him to know whats going on in there . they just recently added new bed and sheets as of 3-8-13. i would definitely continue boarding here in my future visits to san marcos, texas « less

You get what you pay for, and we didn't pay much. Overall this motel is okay. If you are picky, then by all means you need to spend the extra $100 and stay in one of the other, newer hotels in the area. We only paid $60 (including taxes) for a King room. The room had a refrigerator and microwave and was adequate. The bed linens seemed fresh and clean and the bathroom was clean. Don't expect any extras. The breakfast was minimal--make your own waffles, small muffins, cereal, milk juice and coffee (no decaf). The staff was friendly and the location was good. There was, however, a train track close by that blew its horn regularly and LOUD every few minutes from midnight on...so, I didn't sleep very well. If you are just looking for a cheap place to stay and can overlook a lot of wear and tear...then save your money and stay here. Don't expect too much, and you'll be somewhat satisfied. « less
