Imagine a Baroque décor, gold-leaf glided furniture, draperies, velours, frescos, music scores and cherubs come together in a theatrical setting…as if the music was about to begin…
Just steps away from the Opera Garnier, Villa Opera Drouot, a pure example of Haussmannian architectural splendor, is located in the heart of an attractive quarter, abounding in art and antiques, galleries, theatres, cabarets and museums.
Lively walkways, full of boutiques and booths, intertwine with boulevards and faubourgs for pleasurable strolls and artistic discoveries.
Situated between the Louvre area and la Butte Montmartre, the villa is only a short walk away from legendary parisian monuments.
A buffet breakfast, served in an authentic French wine cellar atmosphere under vaulted cellings or in the comfort of your own room, will set the tone in a harmony of abundance, flavors and enchanting places.
Spacious rooms, full of sunlight and equipped with all amenities, are adorned with gold, garnet or orange silk, just a jewel case ready to reveal our most precious treasure : the pleasure of a stay in Paris unlike any other !

Good points: central location near Metro, staff friendly but overworked. Bad points: Stuffy, oppressively blood red decor throughout on cloth-covered walls, carpets, furniture, corridors. Don't stay here if you're allergic to dust. Lights fused in room - lighting inadequate. Lift very slow - quicker to walk the 6 floors. We noted that the hotel's been demoted from 4-star to 3-star. It's all in the detail - chipped crockery, lights that fuse, bathroom not cleaned as well as it should be, a feeling that the place is being run on a shoestring but with aspirations. All a little sad.... « less

The service was OK, the staff was friendly and helpfull. The location is not right next to the underground, but still within walking distance from 3 underground stations. The interior design is not very common. I guess some people may even like it better than the typical and very predictable business hotel style. The bed was a good quality bed and there was almost no street noise on the 4th floor. Now, the elevator: a long time after calling the elevator, i gave up and took the stairs down. 2 floors down, i realized that i forgot something in the room and took the stairs up again. I arrivedat the same as the elevator. This is just to tell you horribly slow it is. In general, there is good potential in this hotel but needs a major refresh. « less

We stayed at the Villa Opera Drouot for our honeymoon after a whirlwind wedding, and we definitely made the right choice. My husband has visited Paris countless times, and lived there briefly, so he knew the area well and it's a great spot for people-watching and convenient for getting around town. It's not the most luxurious area but it felt like home and we felt like locals! There are loads of great cafes around, so no need to bother with breakfast in the hotel (croissants in plastic packets apparently - no need!). We booked through LastMinute.com and there was a problem checking in as LastMinute had given them the wrong name - no fault of the hotel at all. The staff couldn't have been more friendly and helpful throughout our stay, even the housekeeping staff who cleaned our room daily. We parked the car just around the corner in a sparkling clean and secure multi-storey, and the weekly charge was heavily discounted by the hotel. The room was comfortable and warm and decorated in a Parisian style - my top requirement for our honeymoon hotel! It was cosy and comforting to come back to after a full day sightseeing. The hot water was scalding at all times of the day, so you do need to be careful but it's so nice to have guaranteed hot water. The WiFi was not working during our stay which was slightly disappointing, but we had our smartphones with a bundle from our networks so it didn't matter too much. And we did have to use the service lift as mentioned on here by others, but it was hardly an issue! After reading some of the reviews on here I was apprehensive, but they should be taken with a big pinch of salt as we had a great time and a very comfortable stay. I would definitely consider staying here again on my next visit to Paris. « less

The good bits about this hotel: - Working Wifi - Warm - Pretty - Okay Location (although outside is not too nice) - Working TV - Heated towel rails
The bad bits about this hotel: - Generally Creepy: everything creeks, doesn't close properly and is quite dark - Bad Locks on Door: If someone kicked my door it would fly open. Due to someone I know having their things stolen when staying close by I resulted it putting furniture in front of my door while I slept - Cleanliness: Although my sheets and towels where changed everyday I had blood stains on my curtains - not nice... - Staff: The reception lady started off friendly appreciating my broken French but soon got fed up. - Room Service: 15.00 Euros for a sandwich.. need I say more? - Noisy: I was right by the lift (which is noisy and slloooowww) and it was also noisy outside. Didn't get much sleep. « less

Testimonials: Why use Hotel Planner?
"I had already contacted Marriott prior to finding your site, but you got us a deal $24 cheaper per night than Marriott was willing to offer! Also, since the rooms are blocked for our wedding, the website with our own URL was perfect. This was the most convenient and easy to use service I have encountered since starting to plan the wedding. I had the whole room blocking process done in 48 hours, it saved a lot of time and money. Thanks!" C.T. - Richmond, BC
"The ease of finding what I was looking for was excellent. My customer service representative was very helpful. In the future if I have a need for this type of service, I would come back." J.W. - Baltimore, MD
