Unfamiliar with Nashville, we chose the music valley location instead of downtown. It turned out to be a good choice for us as we are past the drinking all night in a bar phase. If you are into the bar scene, then downtown os a better choice for you. The hotel was fine, clean and comfortable. The decor was more interesting than most chains. The color scheme actually had some color - navy, lime green and a touch of orange in the bedroom - it worked. The bathroom was black and white with lime accents. Artwork was nature inspired and pleasing - no music references, though. The room would be better with a luggage rack, fridge, and microwave. Breakfast was ok. There were other choices besides the breakfast sandwiches - cereal, pastry, fruit, yogurt. No ants on the first floor for us. « less

We were three and went for the suite with two doubles and a sofa bed. Glad we did although it is really hard to move around with the bed extended. I like this hotel although the Fairfield in Gatlinburg was nicer. It had a nicer breakfast than this one with waffles and hardboiled eggs. This one just had breakfast sandwiches you heat up.
I also preferred the non-slip surface in the tub at the Gatlinburg Fairfield. They may want to look into it. Also, in the morning, the housekeepers were all trying to squeeze their carts with the guests coming and going. They should have a service elevator.
The location was nice. The Front desk should be better informed about restaurants in the area. We were sent to a place that had a lot of dead, stuffed animals on the walls and wouldn 't eat there. Found John A.'s which was MUCH better.
Still, I like Fairfields now better than Courtyards. « less

I found the breakast to be more than adequate-the cofffee was good and they also had Jimmy Dean breakfast biscuits that you could heat up in the microwave. The rooms were very quiet-I never heard any noise from the hallway, outside, or other rooms. They offer shuttles to Oprymills or downtown, but there is a charge. Overall, I would definitely recommend this hotel. « less
