My stay in The Springhill Suites in El Paso was comfortable. The staff was friendly and provided a quick check in. The rooms are par for the course and offered a comfortable bed. The furniture could use some TLC and the appliances could be upgraded but you are paying for a room on a budget. « less

Arrival experience: Arrived early evening on a Saturday. Efficient, perky, and cute front desk clerk greeted us. Check-in proceeded smoothly.
Room (general): Mini-suite type room on a budget. LG flat screen TV, mini-refrigerator, Samsung microwave, wet bar, and good coffee maker. Furniture was worn (e.g., chips on desk and nightstands) but clean. Walls are very thin. We could hear bits and pieces of our neighbors conversations.
Bathroom: Small vanity and sink separate from toilet and tub. Bathroom was clean. Shower door did not close properly. Good water pressure.
Bed: Good bed.
Housekeeping: Average housekeeping in the room. The carpet in the hallway of the second floor was torn and presented a tripping hazard.
Restaurants: n/a but free breakfast offered in lobby. On the Sunday morning we checked out, they were behind schedule on getting breakfast out. We were in a rush and skipped breakfast.
Bar: n/a
Grounds: Clean in a newer part of El Paso.
Pool: Small pool. From a distance it looked clean, but we did not swim.
Staff attitude/service: Nice check-in but the morning staff was a bit groggy and grumpy.
Perks for status: Platinum gift/points offered at check-in.
Parking: free on site
Misc: Eat at Leo’s about 1 block away. Leo’s offers fantastic Tex-Mex and strong margaritas at reasonable prices.

Stay was pleasant and helpful. Rooms were what is expected for this property. Showers were nice and high enough for a six-footer and it even had good water pressure.

Stay was pleasant and helpful. Rooms were what is expected for this property. Showers were nice and high enough for a six-footer and it even had good water pressure.
We had a maintenance issue and staff responded immediately. Also, housekeeping came by to service the room very early. Not good if you want to sleep past 8:00 am.
Rooms were VERY noisy. We could hear (VERY clearly) every conversation from the room above and next door. When someone was in the hall, it sounded like they were in our room. When they closed their door, it sounded like a bomb. A/C was awful and (i.e. noisy) and kept us up all night. No sleep. Overall, the property is so bad we moved to another property the next night. « less
