We stayed on a spur of the moment trip to take the kids to the beach. Upon check in the clerk made it known that we were holding her up to complete her night audit ( umm ok). The room was clean and centrally located. We decided to come down for breakfast that morning. I was a bit confused that I had to go to the window to order my food instead of the server taking my order. The food was horrible. The grits were not creamy and seemed as if he put too many grits into the pot. Omlets we just ok but they had a bit of variety. The cook not sure of his name (African American Man) was NOT AT ALL FRIENDLY AND WARM!!! I said Good Morning and he looked at me as if I was bothering him. The server was nice. As we left for the beach we were not greated by the staff as we exited the hotel or greeted by them whenever we returned. The location was great as you can walk to the mall, Wal-Mart was nearby, an the beach a 10 minute drive without traffic. Now we stayed almost a year ago so I am not sure if things have changed. Unfortunatley I will not be able to say as we have choosen to stay at the Hampton Inn this year. Maybe next year we will stay at the HGI « less

My family and I visited Panama City in preparation for an upcoming family reunion. We chose to stay at this property because we are Hhonors members and usually cater to this name brand. Property was nice. Rooms were quiet. Bed was firm, but okay. Pool did not excite us because it was located right outside of the lobby where heavy traffic and water do not mix. Breakfast was not so fascinating. Coffee was. This property is located just off of Highway 231 with quick access to plenty of restaurants and within walking distance of a mall. Walking into the hotel, it lives up to the pictures. Looks great. Elevator was a tad bit slow, but served its purpose with no problems. I would stay here again. The hotel was clean and so were the premises. That is always a must. No issues with parking. I would recommend this hotel for a nice rest and relaxing day but would eat out. « less

Yet, on check in, I was billed for two days stay, plus deposit, even though I was only there for a single day. The management fixed the issue, but it took more than an hour of my time to work with the hotel and my bank to get this corrected. « less
