We had a wonderful stay at the Hilton Garden Inn in Times Square. It was conveniently located to everything we needed. The staff was A+. Courteous, friendly, informative, genuinely happy and always ready to assist us with our every need. Parking was just outside the hotel and for $30 a day it was well worth it. The rooms were very clean, the beds were very comfortable and the amenities were plentiful including the large TV which was great for our late night movie! The only drawback we had was that we were four adults and the room had the two queen size beds, which were more than adequate, but only one luggage rack and one chair. There was no "sitting" room of any kind. So if you plan on having four adults in a room I would suggest a suite of some kind. Pigalle restaurant attached to the hotel was okay for breakfast. We did not have dinner there. The staff there was not nearly as courteous and happy with their jobs as the hotel staff. Food was okay. Way too many other choices in town that would be far better. « less

The Hilton Garden Inn Times Square is my new home away from home. Just one block from the 50th street subway station, smack in the middle of all the important New York City attractions. A short trip from Penn Station on the C train, and you're there. Times Square is a short walk, Central Park, Columbus Square, Lincoln Center, theaters, shopping, restaurants galore all within a short walk in any direction. The hotel is modern and impeccably clean, bright white bed linens and towels, spotless bathroom, great water pressure, Neutrogena toiletries, a fridge, microwave, alarm clock with your choice of wake up sounds and dimmer, large, flat screen tv, fully adjustable thermostat (it works, and the equipment runs quietly!) and a little goody bag that made me smile. The staff are all professional, knowledgeable, and most of all friendly. Grab a tour bus on the corner or a cab if you need one, but theaters and social life are all within sight of the hotel. Best of all, my room was in the front, on the street, which is exactly what I wanted but if you worry about noise, there was none. I opened the windows for a bit because I love the street sounds but when I closed them the room was completely quiet. I slept better than I do at home. This hotel is a bargain. I will most definitely be back. « less
