The Royal Gorge Bridge 1,000 feet above the Arkansas River with all the attractions, Royal Gorge Train with vintage locomotives and cars taking you through the 1,000ft deep gorge, Dinosaur Depot, Holy Cross Abbey where the monks still make fabulous wines and you can take a visit/taste/buy, and the Arkansas River for fishing, kayaking, and rafting are within two miles or less from motel. Excellent variety of restraunts nearby and even a good microbrewery/restaurant in downtown Canon City. The old original Colorado Territory's Prison also is just down a couple of miles and while still operational also offers a tour of the musuem.
