I was not overwhelmed by luxury and interior, especially when price is that expensive, but admit that staff were very friendly at reception, concierge, restaurant and fitness center. « less

Coming from Kuala Lumpur, I hardly stay any nights in Singapore unless necessary. With so many flights between the two cities, it is easy to come in the morning and depart anytime once I've finished what I need to do.
On this rare occasion, I choose to stay at Grand Hyatt Singapore, purely for its location which is in the heart of Orchard Road. What surprised me is the level of service, right when I arrive till when I checked out. Almost everyone knows my name and I'm always greeted by name wherever I go in this hotel. I give credit to the management for that kind of service level. « less

The Grand Hyatt definitely earns the "grand" in its title. This hotel, situated right in the Orchard Rd. shopping district (the swankiest part of Singapore), is a beautifully appointed, well-run hotel. The service is impeccable, and they think of all the "little things," like holding the door for you when you return, or remembering your name as you walk through the lobby. I stayed in a King Suite, with a separate living area and grand bathroom with a soaking tub. The room was wonderful, and the nightly turn down service was on time and non-intrusive.

I have stayed numerous time at this Hyatt hotel in Singapore and they never came short of service, quality. From the monent you arrive they are there to look after you. The bedroom "grand king" is well well designed as it has a good working space, lounge, then the bedroom and bathroom are also very well designed. All is very clean and functional. I run some of my meetings in the working / lounge area as it is well seperated from the bedroom with a large sliding door. The location is great as you can just walk to many stores / malls and all have inside some very good restaurants / food courts so plenty of option - Ion and Ion2 malls are just around the corner which is then Orchard road where you will find it all. Take few mniutes to walk to the pool along the water fall and koi pond as for being in the hart of Singapore that is a great bowl of fresh air. It is not a cheap place but you get your $ worth.
