Thank you for your review of the Howard Johnson Plaza Hotel. Although this is an older property, we are continually making improvements on the overall appearance of the hotel. We are in the process of a remodel, we just recieved new beds for the whole hotel, New Lobby furniture, new work out facility, and we also just reupdated our largest indoor pool in madison! Our first experience was that we were checked into a DIRTY room. They put us in a new room where our coffee pot was limed up and did not work. We contacted front desk and we were told "There is really nothing we can do....You can wait for housekeeping to come in the morning and you can contact them for a new one". The treadmills in the exercise room did not work properly. No SHOWTIME on cable as advertised in the room. « less

I was at the hotel for the purpose of traveling to the airport. Flight was leaving early in the morning that i wanted a place to stay for the night before. I was there for about 8 hours and the stay was nice. Only issue was a problem with online rate and confirming with the hotel before I booked. Turns out, both of the rates were wrong when i arrived. The night manager addressed the situation to my satisfaction. « less

I saw what the lower end hotels looked like and this by far was better. My only complaint was i wished they would invest in mattresses. I had a very large room and the pool area was pleasant. « less
